  1. id like to help you out but we need more info... plz define the following... "gains set by pro..." "the enclosure was sized correctly" "wired to 2 ohm" if you can.. take a pic of your amp settings/wiring/box with specs.... oh and 2x on the clipping... edit: do you have a volt meter installed in your car?? whats your electrical look like?
  2. Holysh*tthatsabigassport lol it looks like 5sq feet. how much port area do you have there???? nice numbers... post pics/vids of the new score once your done! lol keep it up...
  3. copy and pasted from the forum homepage. scroll to the very bottom....
  4. nice... wheres teh pics/vids/build log???? lol
  5. lol i think he ment higher freq... personally. i say drop the 6x9s and go for some good 6.5 seperates/component set if your looking for quality. i went from a pioneer 6x9 in the back to RF t162s. SooooooooOOoOOoooo much better... so to the op... if your powering the mids of the HU... 6x9s will be fine... however if you want it to sound better... get component set... its worth it...
  6. get well soon jack... hope everything gets better...
  7. i had 4 rf P1 8's... and they did very well. they where in a 4.5 cube box tuned to 30 hz on 500w total... the only reall difference is the p2 has more power handling... i would rather wait for the sa 8s imo... more excursion...
  8. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22705_Hifonics+HFi1000D.html because its over rated... it should be around 600w rms at 2... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_24376_Boss+CW2500D.html again overated. probly does close to 600w rms at 2... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22067_Hitron+HPA2000.1D.html another one... overated... dirt cheap...
  9. jus received a Mach 5 motor and basket... Great packaging and shipped fast Great man to deal with... will def. purchase from again... thanks dude...
  10. mmmm.... neo... nice jacob... cant wait to see these... keep us updated....
  11. nice and clean... im pretty sure the bass bug will bite... and your gona want more... lol... if you say that its a family car, i think you can get a pair of 10s and still have space... sub up port up so your stuff doesnt damage the woofers...
  12. half that sentence didnt make sense... i used hotglue on my pods and nvr had a problem... i think what your saying is that the the resin is melting the hotglue as it cures... like skittles said... what parts fell off?
  13. one word... quality control oh wait... thats two... anybody see where your iphone is made? the back of the unit says... "Designed in California, assembled in China"
  14. sometimes you cant hear it... until its too late... and your coil is fried... trust me... i learned the hard way... whats your box dems and what woofer?
  15. try not to put too much power to it... unless your custom sub has some real good suspension... my theory is that quarter wave tlines have very little backpressure... thats why you cant throw too much power into it... i would say a little below RMS with clean/uncliped power and you should be fine... if i were you i would do do 1000w RMS, mayb 1200w max... i burned my lvl 5 in a tline cuz i was being stupid...
  16. ive read that the issue with lith batts is saftey... they can explode and burn... but the potential is there... lith can release stored power rather quickly compared other types of batteries... heres some clips of an electric dragracing motorcycle. that last one actually burns out the motor... imagine all that power into a 3 sec burp... lol... not sure how lith power will do with audio... so im all ears on this topic...
  17. replace the stock battery... mixing batterys are not a good idea... if you do your kinetics will average out with the stock battery voltage... id grab another 1800 and put it up front... edit: HO alt is a must... check out dc power..
  18. Read... seriously... the first post will explain everything... read it a few times over... fs of the woofer is 38hz... 1130/38 = 29.736 /4 = 7.434 * 12 = 89.21 inches... thats how long the port has to be... sd = .022 m = 34.1000682 inches sq... 34 sq inches of port 89.21 inches long... took me less then 5 mins to calculate... the trickest part is to make the port exactly 89.2 inch long... easiest way to build a tline is with a pvc pipe... get one 8in in diameter, make it 89.21 inches long... mount it on one end.. edit: you dont have to be too exact... round to the nearest quarter inch
