i made some experience with these subs and i don´t like them, they make a terrible kind of noise. the low frequency is ok but the higher ones are not clear the gto makes the bass like a salty soup little bit scratchy. i filtered it down from 150 to 120 and then from 120 to 80 and lower and lower so i think it will be better if you safe your money for something better Umm. Maybe because subs are supposed to play the 20-80 range?

The port length just affects the tuning. To get more port it would be like a 25" x 10" port would be 250" port. And a 10x10 is 100 and etc..

If you are gonna have the box all the way to the back hatch the port up will be fine. I would shoot for 16-17 cubes with 250in of port or so. Add a double baffle and a gang of bracing also.

Yeah should be about 6months to a year ago or so. The recone i got a couple months ago has a stitched surround. Looks real good.
