  3. Not trying to bring up anything from days past by the way... Just trying to make sure I have the right guy. I am genuinely curious how many miles he put on it as a professional driver. Back when I worked at Sears the taxis I did drove a good 10k a month. Pretty rough on all parts of the car at that point
  4. Aren't you the guy that posted a long time ago bashing MM? You're a taxi driver, yeah? How many miles did you put on it? What sort of symptoms are you having?
  5. Here I am watching TV and saw Steve's face pop up on a commercial. Did a triple take there

  6. I have not, but MAN do I want to. Heights never bothered me much as long as there's some sort of safety. Rope, railing, parachute... Whatever. Just something as backup But the idea of feeling like I'm flying around, just sounds way cool. You ever see that video of the people with jetpacks flying over Dubai? Yeah there's not much I wouldn't give to be able to do that

Hey if they want to load and unload the same package every day and use gas to keep knocking at my door because I'm not home feel free LOL

They just leave mine on the porch, even the signature required ones.

I checked my tracking once while I was out and it said left package with man at door,

I looked at my girl and said someone broke in the house and signed for my shit.

Well when I got home there it was on the front porch waiting to be stolen.

  11. Looks like Selway just got a bunch of powders in stock hop on it while you can

  12. Shoot look at stock Toyotas they only charge at 13.4-5 and their batteries last SO long
  13. I should add that voltage drop is the same either way
  14. Bummer. Sorry to hear that. On all accounts. Sounds kind of like when my grandfather died a few years ago. Similar gig. Never heard from him ever. No cards no calls, never visited. Shoot me a text if you want to talk or rant or get anything off your chest
  15. What were you charging at? 14.8Damn really, so did your batts get fried because you kept a high voltage all the time with no drop? Yeah pretty much. You don't gain much by charging higher. Once you drop voltage you'll be dropping to battery voltage regardless. Shoot for the summer I'm only charging at 13.3v. Winter time is 13.8
  16. so if im at 12.8 and the amp pull just as a hypothetical example 100 amps im getting 1280 watts, but if i have 14 volts and pull 100 amps im getting 1400 watts. How does voltage mean jack shit if thats the case? Logarithmic difference between the two powers you listed is only about .4db assuming your setup is 100% efficient with no losses... Which it's not. I'd be amazed if you could hear the difference in 120w at that power level. Only thing I'd worry at 12.8 is being able to recharge the battery. But as far as the power you listed.. I wouldn't sweat it
  17. Get it externally regulated if you want voltage. Skip the car's electronics altogether. Besides.... Didn't you buy the alternator for the amperage not the voltage? Charging too high is overrated IMO. Been there, done that, got the prize. Prize being fried batteries in less than a year.
  18. Anyone ever run synchronous belts over a traditional ribbed belt?

    1. Keith77

      Keith77

yeah on a timing belt LOL

i know huh :D i love reading all the answers :D

  20. I change mine every ~3000 miles. Usually pretty well done at that point. you'll see as they wear through, you'll begin to see the grooves "bottom out" against the fabric of the belt along with a shiny appearance within the grooves. If you see that or cracking/fraying, probably time for a new one FWIW I use a gates HD belt. Seems to be the most stretch resistant out of anything I've used. Others would stretch so bad my tensioner would be almost maxed out and I'd need to tighten it on a weekly basis
