  7. Nonononono. Do NOT dip them in grease or anything else for that matter. A crimp holds in wire by friction. It 'grabs' the wire and holds on to it. Try grabbing and holding something covered in grease. Doesn't work so well. Plus if you plan on soldering(even though you don't, just food for thought) the grease will obstruct proper solder adhesion and penetration. A dry connection and adhesive lines heat shrink will do exactly what you need it to do my friend. No need to over complicate it with dielectric grease
  8. personally, I'd just do 2 bolts. Not much of a reason to do 8 unless you are constantly changing your wiring configuration for some reason.
  9. Might I suggest a smaller car with a smaller system? After all: your title is regarding car audio on a budget. 6 15s isn't exactly budget. There is electrical(alts, wires, batts add up fast) cost of wood, helper springs, depending on the car: larger brakes, sound deadening, general chassis reinforcement, supplies for custom door pods, mids/highs, and fuses/terminals/solder, among other things. Not to mentions subs/amps/tools if you don't have them. Shit gets expensive fast Not dissing age or anything.. But if you are 16, why not do 4 12s or a pair of 18s if you want to be loud? Rather than spending a shit ton of money on audio and having nothing left. Either should get you into the 150s. Plus there is nothing small about 6 15s. Figure that each one will need somewhere in the range of 5-6 cuft before various displacements. That's 30-36 cubic feet of box. Even more if you decide to do a 4th order or something. Not trying to sound like I'm bashing on you: 6 15s would be quite nice. I'm just trying to present a reality check. I'd be interested in seeing what you do should you actually go through with this
  10. Each one sees 0.25 ohms may be less coz the nominal impedence of each coil is 1.4 ohms.. Yes it is daily driver however it only runs on full load for a couple demos that's it..Furthermore i have rear AC vents just above the amps to keep them cool. I am about to start my install thread here.. P.S> I have Pm'ed him..eagerly waiting for his reply.. .175 ohms ftw
  11. Geez lol
  12. Needs more than 5 years. I don't care if he has a future is basketball or not. Like the saying: "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime." If he has a lesser sentence because of his status, that opens up a whole other can of worms IMHO.
  13. Solder will make the joint more brittle, but will also help seal the copper from corrosion IMHO crimp & weatherproof (adhesive lined) heat shrink would be our best bet
  14. Long story short a guy had some road rage directed at me(no idea what I did lol) yesterday evening when I was taking my bro up to football practice. I think he thought I was following him or something (even though we were both driving the same route) since as we got close to the school, he pulled over and got out of his car. I just drove by and continued about my day like normal. Now today: I drop my bro off again in the morning and as I am leaving the school, he has his car parked outside the entrance standing outside it, staring at me, nodding. So I flip a u-turn to verify it's the same guy / grab his license plate and he is gone. I wouldn't normally be worried but the guy is in his early/mid 30s and buff. And I am 18 and well.... Not... Plus if he is crazy enough to do that, I'm not sure what else he might do..
