Make sure the head unit is properly connected. Wires and the grounds are nice. Also unhook the remote wire on the amp. And try to get the headunit to shut off at high volume with no subs playing.

Yeah, maybe in a high school car show lol. Like I always say, Kickers are a kid's sub, it's usually a lot of people's 1st sub, and they make decent sound until they realize that there are better out there. I never liked the L7, I always thought it was stupid, especially being square shaped, but all the kids at my school drool over wanting to have one, and thinks it's the best sub in the world. Me, thanks to being around smart people on SMD, I have a better idea of what's good. Haha everyone at all the highschools I went to would get boners whenever that sub is mentioned

u sure you aint clipping? my kicker amp would going into protect when i had my gains high, then i scoped the amp, the wave was flat, i mean it was prolly a good half inch of ____, i backed the gains off to form a pretty nice sine wave slope. no protect

hold the port and see if the noise stops, or check sub for separated neck joint. my sub would play fine at low volume and as soon as i turned it up, i would get a weird metal clanking sound. the neck joint separated.

Oops I didn't mean like I found it out of nowhere. It was at my dads shop in the attic. I was putting tires up there and I saw the bag. He told me used it for diagnosing many computer related problems. He also said it could scope.. Is there a good vid on joie to use scopes to set gain? I was thinking of getting a dd-1 but if I can figure out how to use this, I stick with this tool. I'm gonna keep reading.

I would stick with the 3ks. Use 1/2 " like u said. Those amps will do more than that stetsom. And cleaner.
