  1. Just playing some music.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-e7DSzpvPA&list=UUVM_fwaAXOyg12GqudXzcQQ
  2. The wonder gu that AQ/SQ and DD uses that they call it is made by CP Moyen ->>> http://www.cpmoyen.com/ It costs $65.00 for a gallon of it!! I looked into stocking it as well as some other adhesives from them, but only needed it once so I just used the credit on my account from parts express and ordered a few bottles. There was no way I was going to pay $24 for 2oz of glue that I tracked down the manufacture and model of and found it for $65 a gallon. lulz Be aware that you dont want to use it on butyl or rubber, its not made for it and the bond wont be good. You can also buy it at parts express as well, Its a bit cheaper than AQ/SQ prices and only a little cheaper with their sale. http://www.parts-express.com/parts-express-speaker-repair-glue-1-oz-bottle--340-076 Here is the MSDS of the glue from parts express, which labels the model number and manufacture. http://www.parts-express.com/pedocs/more-info/340-076-parts-express-more-info.pdf
  3. debating on posting a small video, but woofers are still pretty stupid stiff and not moving much yet it appears.
  4. Not the correct CA to use for woofers, there is specially formulated ca that is rubber toughened semi-flexible glue and foam safe. Mobile Solutions glue is just relabeled FastCap Adhesives. FastCap is decent glue, but its just not for the right purpose. I sure wouldn't use it for my woofers, but that's just me. I buy my glue direct from an undisclosed company which I wont name, but even if you found out the company you would have a hard time finding the model since its not listed on their site. A few audio companies use this same glue (fi being one of them which is why I linked to Fi).
  5. You can order CA from Fi without too huge of a markup on it. http://store.ficaraudio.com/adhesive-kit/
  6. Yea I have wanted one of those for years CFLs bruh CFLs are not strong enough, wattage wise, Steve tried them and they took a while, along with a few others. My 2 48inch bulbs are 40watts each, so a great bit more than a CFL bulb at 13watts. You need a strong light source with in the 385-410nm. UV doesnt always mean black light, there are many types of bulbs for various uses that are not black lights such as floral grow lamps, reptile, and bird lamps that are uva or uvb. Its not really the black light that makes it cure, its the uva and uvb, however for a bulb to put out uvb it automatically means it puts out uva as well from my understanding Something that would work really well is a 400 watt UV Cannon from American Dj. http://www.adj.com/uv-canon Part of the reason it took so long is I had the light pretty far away, and the uva-uvb gets reduced drastically the farther it gets moved away. So having the light a few feet above the panel wasnt the ideal way, the center directly under the light cured fairly fast, however around the edges is what took longer due to it being even farther from the light source. Depends on what Im reconing and what is needed or wanted done.
  7. Put the headliner back in along with the a-pillars, b-pillars. This box came this morning at 9:09am, which had the recones for the SA-18s as seen above. Had to clean up the baskets. shimmed the coil out with xrays to make sure it was centered in the gap. Folded the surrounds up. Laid a couple beads of rubber toughened flexible CA glue on the spider and surround landing, dropped the recone assembly in, clamped the spiders attached the rubber gasket to hold down the surrounds, then applied activator. 30minutes later to freshly reconed SA-18s
  8. It wont be finished for a while. I wont even get the wall wood work finished anymore this year now that its too cold.
  9. Recones are just a temp thing for the Fi's so I can go to half power until I can afford to continue my sundown nuthuggery and drop 2 more 4500s in the hoe. But really If you will buy 4 team 18s for me, Id be more than happy buy you the Yolo 18s since they are cheaper
  10. Id love to take that challenge on if your supplying the woofers. I already got a trick up my sleeve to do it! hahaha
  11. Took about 30minutes to cure. Which is about on par with regular resin mixed with catalyst that would of been properly mixed. Black lights do not seem to put out enough wattage in the needed spectrum, and if you wanted to do it with lights you would need a High Pressure Sodium lamp. Sure was nice not having to rush to apply the resin and the mat tho!!
  12. Its getting cold here so the rims have to come off, the stock ones had heavy clear coat damage from the salt on the roads so plastidip to the rescue! Looks goofy, but not as bad as it did before with the stock wheels.. So much front wheel gap!!! I needed to fix that! Much better, but thats about as low as I can go on stock torsion keys. At least my charging system is working okay so far! Since I was doing recones I needed to reup my CA Glue supply, so grabbed a few pounds of this stuff, and about 64oz of activator as well. Id like to get the headliner back in, but its falling apart pretty bad. Black Lights FTW Got some SMD SunFlash to try for a while, plan is to cure it with the black lights, its not optimal like the sun, but Ill see if it works. Covered the top side of the headliner and mat where it was creased or edges where breaking. Tracking for the 4 UFO BTL recones, thanks to Nick @ Fi for the hookup on them!! Tracking for the 2 SA-18 recones that I popped and another thanks to Nick @ Stereo Integrity which is who made the options for SA-18s to be a thing before they where released as a factory option!! Oddly enough thats 2 to many Nicks to email back and forth with regarding recones at the same time from 2 different companies. LOL
  13. Put 1 amp in at wired at .5ohms It lasted maybe a half day until I started pushing the limits of the 600wrms woofers. Only thing that pissed me off is I didnt get to meter it prior.. On the 4channel it was doing 145-147 playing music sealed up on the dash. One 4500 was a bit louder it seemed. So I started to weigh my options, recone the btls custom, buy factory recones, and recone the sa-18s. iyiyi So I picked up this coil to see how it would fit the gap, and see if it had a long enough former height to fit Ti baskets on the ufos. Guess its using some HP500 glue, and is to handle OVER 450degrees F, and 9,000wrms..... I was a bit skeptical, and dropping over $1000 for recones some BTLS sounded great at first but then I decided it would be a lot of wasted money once I ordered new woofers. So this happened.....
  14. Since its not something done on the forums only (like the NVX giveaway) I will enter this one. This way no one gets upset if a moderator wins and they say its bias, which is why I didnt enter the other contest. Good Luck everyone!
  15. Is this issue fixed or not? PM me right now and I can reset you a generic password for you to go and change
