American Bass VFL150.1- SOLD
mbdblue replied to mbdblue's topic in For Sale: Car audio related equipment only
sorry man, long gone -
Save yourself the time and do not do subs up....it is the worst...i went that route first and then found out both forward or backward sounded way better, Design like a v-shaped box facing forward or backward.... do you have the exact same car as the OP? because that would be a distinct variable in this build. you can only base your opinion on your own experience, so if you dont have the exact same car, you can only reference what happened to you.

subs up port forward is an option.

should have been titled "driving regularly while trying to sound like a badass"

oh thats a shame -
whats 4th order???
mbdblue replied to bass28's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
again, it sounds as though you aren't experienced enough to build a 4th order. you also don't tune 4th orders the same way you would a ported box. a lot more research on your end is in order. -

depends on how much experience you have.... -
crescendo just came out with their pro midbass drivers and are getting good reviews

interestingly enough man, when I went to school for autobody they told us that some of the best color match painters they met were colorblind to a certain extent. they said it helped them see shades better than people who aren't colorblind; so you may be able to see if a color is too dark, too light, or flops too dark/light comparing to the original on the car. Id definitely still pursue it man, and like everyone else says, just ask.

check all power connections at the amplifier with a DMM, and make sure your remote line is correct edit: audiofanaticz

[quote name= Gem132' timestamp='1327114680' post='1852988] alright pretty much which one is better ? im going to be buying this headunit off sonic electronix and i don't know which on to use for my shipping, all help will be appreciated http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33487_Kenwood-KDC-X895.html your gonna get a ton of different opinions on this and there will be no clear answer. Ive had damaged packages from all 3 shippers (UPS, Fed-Ex, and USPS) but I would trust UPS only if its not around the holidays. -
realy or not?

if you tap into the positive (which I wouldn't do) you have to put it on a switch to make sure your amps don't stay on all the time. Run the relay from your remote line on the headunit. -

think your posts egg on smartass remarks to be honest... all I can say is, she probably went MIA because she found a boyfriend...now hes not around anymore, so shes looking for the person who was there to fill the void before. Don't mean to be harsh, but thats exactly what it sounds like. -
I tried to get in touch with them about there amps last year. took them a long time to get in touch with me. said that my email went to there spam folder, even though I used their contact form from the website...regardless, I asked them prices on their warlord and barbarian. They asked how many I wanted, and Im guessing they didn't like my answer of either 2 warlords or 1 barbarian cuz I never got a response. maybe they thought I was a dealer or something, I don't know. But hopefully you'll have better luck with them.

you definitely shouldn't need another high output alt with that setup. it sounds like something else is wrong. check voltages at several locations to find out whats going on (if it is in fact a power issue, and not the amps themselves like Mad Mike had suggested) otherwise, your gonna be throwing money at this thing and never get a positive result. edit: I misread, but you still need to see what your voltage is doing.

US Composites Polyester resin (B440 is now discontinued but 404 tooling resin Ive been told, is much like the 440) there resin comes with MEKP 1.5 oz mat
-
yep all you should need is a run from alternator to starter battery with a fuse, starter battery to shuriken with a fuse, and shuriken to amp with a fuse. make sure your ground wires are the same size as the power wires and going to good solid, metal to metal contacts. all terminals should be secured tightly for a good connection. no breaks in the wire except to bolt to fuse blocks. if you still see heavy voltage drop after this, theres something else wrong.
-
you can barely make out anything in those pics man. but I see no capacitor.....are you talking about the Shuriken battery? the way you describe it is very confusing. for this setup all you would need is a run from alternator to starter battery fused, starter battery to shuriken fused, and shuriken to amp fused. and just make sure the batteries and amp are grounded with the same size wires and you should be good.

Headunit STOLEN!
mbdblue replied to CleanSierra's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
and you still don't have an alarm??? Having a nice truck is the BEST excuse to get one...let alone more than 1 time its happened to you. hahaha "you shouldn't need one" what world do you live in man? there are shitbags EVERYWHERE. Its nice to place blame on someone else...especially when its not your fault; but sooner or later its gonna get old...or they're gonna get a hold of something thats irreplaceable. Sorry for your break-in, but making excuses about it won't do any good. -

^^^they didn't know, thats why they kept asking. Theres more and more "wishful thinkers" coming on this site asking the same type of questions and looking to run equipment that they just don't have the power to support. for a wall in a civic....Suspension upgraded? I hope so. Ditch the cap cuz its not doing anything for you with 4 2800 kinetiks. Are those JLs good for 4th order? some subs won't like it, and a ported box isn't tuned the same way a 4th order is. I don't know the specs on those subs but something tells me they won't like a 28hz tune...and definitely not in a 4th order. For something as big as that, Id use birch to save some weight...its gonna be a heavy bitch anyway, but you mide as well save where you can...with the kind of questions your asking, Id do a hell of a lot more reading before you take on a wall build. -
if you want to wrap something tight, hot glue just isn't strong enough. Has let go on me too many times, and sometimes right before I resin. CA glue for everything period.

tips to find a job.
mbdblue replied to bass_stalker's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
have you hit up craigslist yet? retarded amount of jobs on there, doesn't even come close to all those other POS websites that claim they'll find something for you. I was laid off after the first week of June, I started my new job July 1st...granted I hate it but its a job. They are out there man, just gotta be persistent and have goals.
