  1. Shoot me a PM, i'd be glad to help out here.
  2. 2 subs = more cone area = louder. just pick something and go with it. there's not a lot of difference between products in that price range.
  3. honestly when you can't find it, just guesstimate. unless you're chasing tenths on the meter it really doesn't matter as long as you're close. i would estimate the displacement per sub is around .25 if you need help with the design, feel free to PM me anytime.
  4. Does the amp have a metal chassis? and is that metal chassis by chance touching other metal? i've heard of people's amps shorting out because they were in contact with metal.
  5. It's late and i'm getting lost in your words, but from what i understand, V(as) is not displacement. i might reread this in the morning, but if i'm skimming it correctly now, the displacement of two HDC4 18's will not be over 1 cubic foot, i can almost guarantee that
  6. Thats an amazing looking box! Tell if it can work with the 12's I might build something like that. meh. i've designed better lol.
  7. go with the single 12. PM me for a box design.
  8. Just make sure you set your gains correctly, and build a nice box. i have a feeling the subs won't really like the extra power too much.
  9. Shoot me a PM and we can talk.
  10. you don't have to do 1:1. shoot for like 1:1.5. that should be a good mix
  11. I can try to render it if you want... i just need to know what i'm rendering. PM me if you want... promise not to steal anything
  12. the heck does that mean?
  13. we've given you suggestions upon suggestions. pick one and go with it.
  14. PM me once you get this information. i'd be happy to design you something with a model to go along with it. here's one i did for 4 15's.
  15. mind explaining why an odd number of subs are bad? if you get 3 subs and have 3 amps to power them, i don't see what's wrong with thtat.. even if you only had one amp... as long as they're the same sub.
  16. http://youtu.be/4yUwOHj3W3Y guess he was haha
  17. Wasn't he on from g's to gents?
  18. well to get the 1200 watts out of it, you'd have to wire them in parallel to one ohm.
  19. i don't know where you're shopping, but you can get just the amp here for 157 and the subs will cost you 260. that's a nice starter system for less than 500 bucks. you're gonna have to expand your budget a little more, we're working with almost nothing
  20. what he said the obsidians are a great choice. i'd take them over the type R's.
  21. Did someone delete my post? lol regardless. 1:1 is more musical, the higher the ratio gets, the peaker it will be. 1:1.5 should be good for your sitch
