  1. I tend to agree, I would amp them first (and get em x'd over correctly).. I bet you'd be much much happier ... You could have a 1200$ pair of Mids ran off a head unit, and they'll sound like ass... Edit- also, if the pioneers handle more power, they are probably a bit less sensitive, and will actually sound worse off the HU than what your runnin now....
  2. Yeah, did it protect, and come back up? or did it shut down, and not fire back up? does it power up? all that good stuff....?
  3. Excellent, you mentioned keeping factory (deck) and I was hoping you would stick. Im in my own world of the factory unit controlling everything but popping the trunk,.. Hell, it may even do that. Awesome, pull something nice with OEM garb, neat drivers, but crazy stoked to see some RF sound processing with oem come into play.. cheers and good luck ...
  4. man, i wish there was more DD action around here... and of course all the others mentioned... but, some DD action would be awesome.... just my un worthy opinion..
  5. Man, see if they'll turn the tv channel, and your set....
  6. Hey bud,... no worries, it was our pleasure to try and help a fellow SMD memeber out, with that, thanks for the kind words, and take care bro....
  7. RIP dime.... one of the best albums ever built....
  8. @ SD - x a trillion... sorry man... you could open it up, get a nice smell, and visually look at the heap inside..... its not looking good my friend...
  9. man,... that may be a loss, dissconect all outputs, replace the fuse with the correct amperage, and give it another go.... now im not there, and not sure,... but, it maybe bad news.... let us know, and good luck man... edit - yea duck... im a tad on the worried side...
  10. Just my 2 cents, because i cant speak on anything else,... especially, reading everyones reply's, about CS, Mike has been nothing but a true pro for us.....but, thats our experiance...
  11. I ment no offence to your reply, ..but it did raise a brow.... also, Im a married man, that has very little to no funds.. my "team" deal in my sig is ment as a joke in 2 ways. But, i WILL pay for things i believe are true, and and trusting. Like supporting this site, ....... and ill do it again...... and honestly, i try and cut where everywhere i can, hell, i have too......but, i would rather go without and save, then get what i want, than buy a cheap imitation, that i know will cause more grief. Thats all man. I'm also a big believer in "to each their own", you go your way,........ i WILL go mine......
  12. damn, seems to me the way to go... add another mid, and go for man......let me know when you make you decision, and how it turns out bud....
  13. hmmmm, good question bro. Im right now, at this very moment, sitting in my front yard putting in my single set of components. So, its new to me. I dont know benifits or cons and pro's of more power vs more drivers. I myself want another set. Hopfully another member can chime in.... i do know, and have heard of course, with the proper install, you can acomplish a lot with out a door full of drivers.... I talked to a buddy that is my "go to guy" on this site the other day, that smashes 80hz all day from his doors. And is able to bridge his amp to his old school MB quarts he is running. He also let on that he has a ass load of dampner on the door, and 1 1/2" baffels made outta birtch. needless to say, im not that accomplished, and just hoping for the best...lol.... lets see if someone thats been down that road can lend a hand.... cheers and good luck...
  14. AWESOME bro.... very cool... glad you got it sorted..... nicely done.... congrats.....
  15. Well, your simple question of wanting to buy a product that isnt designed for the use you wanted, took me down that road, silly me,.....good, now we all know...thanks for the update. Sincerly, Good luck with your install....
  16. So you bought an expensive battery before measuring and knowing it would or wouldnt fit, and now, your looking to make another purchase thats not meant for the function you wanted/needed? Man, i wish i could afford those types of trial and error.... we all make mistakes, but sheeesh, Maybe do a little more reasearch or ASK FIRST before pulling out the wallet bro....
  17. i dont have another amp. A buddy or something? Just to see?.. Damn bro, sorry for the downer...keep us informed one way or the other eh!?
  18. @rusty- Right ... And then shutting off at mid volume..??? Hmm, anyway to find another amp, and slap it in??! And See what happens.???
