RE MT 18"s - $400 each (I have 2) DD comps - $200 (one of the only new products) DD w6.5s - $350 (4 of them shipped) DLS dome mids with crossovers - $120 (picking them up Monday) Speaker sub-total - $1470 Note that in New Zealand the RE MT's are $2000 each brand new. Stetsom 10k is borrowed from Boon, when I'm not using it I use my atomic 3k Atomic 3k - $900 Atomic 8O.2 - $150 Atomic 50.4 - $200 Response 150.2 - $120 (new but with a mean discount) Amp sub-total - $1370 For perspective, an Atomic 5k new here is $3499 x2 70kg batteries - free Kenwood flip-out with hideaway, 5.1 surround Dolby digital and DTS - $300 installed (was taken out of a Jap import at the shop, got a nice deal on it) Various wires and fuses - ~$350 Wood, ~$100 Still got some tint and more stuff to do, so that might be a bit more. Total - $3590 Oh, and not to forget a few screws here and there, fiberglass stuff and buying Boon lunch multiple times while working on the system. Let's say $3700 overall so far then. According to google, that is $2841.60 USD Now that's pretty damn cheap for such a system. You dudes buy new stuff too much, if you went second hand you could do so much more for your money. I like how TeamHT spent more on his amps than I did on the whole system . Also, this is my second system. Head unit - $300 4 Pairs of O2 Air 63s - $430 Hifonics ZXi150.4 - $260 RCAs and Speaker wire - $60 2 Bitchin Roadmaster 8s - $40 insanely powerful VR3 mono amp - $55 2nd stock alt - $50 Power wire, fuse blocks and fuses - $125 2 batteries - $60 (one came with the car) Wow... About 1500 when I include all of the wood and fiberglass and stuff too... I have a serious problem... I spent over a grand on audio equipment for my car that doesn't even run...
