Purplehaze Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 Drove down to vacuum out the car and the clutch is slipping, just a little right now, but it will only get worse. Also noticed that the rear end is squeaking since the subs are out. I have no choice but to tear it out. It was fun and had some potential, but I can't afford to be replacing the clutch and suspension components just to have a wall. So I will be having a big sale. Stay tuned. oh ya i forgot PUSSY! lol Lol! I was waiting for that... If the damage is already done to the clutch why not just get a more heavy duty clutch, and some heavier spring rate springs for the rear shouldn't be too high. Too much time, money, and work to just rip it out if you're already going to need a clutch anyway. Its not bad, but I feel it. I want to drop the weight before I HAVE TO buy a new clutch. I have to agree that if it is already slipping, the damage is already done. I would count on replacing the clutch, that is common with or without the extra weight... Man I liked the 2 level 5 10's you had in there to start with. That setup was my favorite. And you could do something like that again without adding too much weight... Honestly, you need to plan on replacing the clutch anyway why not get a more heavy duty clutch? Very little price difference then all you would need is some stiffer rear springs to deal with the weight and you're back in business.
