98GCLimited
Play it normal, turn it down if you start to smell coil though This. Get the sub moving, if it starts to stink turn it down for a bit and back up. Once the suspension is loose enough to allow the sub to move enough to keep the coil cool it shouldnt get stinky anymore and you can just slam on it without having to turn it down. Everytime I hear someone says "I smell something", it always makes me think that the "gain" setting is not properly on their amp(s). There are many factors to consider about when it comes to "smell something" and not just from 'crankin' the volume up.

Chris Davis
Ya should only take 24 hours for the glue to settle you said you should be receiving yours are they being shipped or you picking them up if there shipped you should be fine to fire them when you get them back seeing how its pretty much given its in transit more then 24. sprkn_ranger
What exactly do people who break their subs in hope to accomplish? I wonder this too. Unless the sub manufacturer says to go easy on the sub for a few hours, then it is good to go full tilt out of the box. That is assuming your amp is tuned right and the enclosure is properly suited for the sub. Check out my build log! 4 Havocs in a blowthrough http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187506-sprkn-rangers-blowthrough-build/
