imo nitro is a pain in the ass,fun but still a pain.electric is where its at.the brushless motors they have out are crazy as fuck.a buddie of mine is big into Rc's and he probably has spent around 3g's in the past 4 months on his trucks.

Nitro is a blast i used to race hpi supers, yokomo 1/10th and mugen 1/8th scales 10 years ago but not as much as i raced electrics which were a complete blast to run, nothing like standing on the drivers stand shaking and hoping to make the first corner without wreaking. Gas racing can be tough to find tracks to race, electric is the best option to learn to race with as it won't require buying gallons and gallons of fuel to run and depending on the car you get you can easily convert it to rally with truck shocks for dual purpose racing.

I like the rc car scene, i have a few of them, Ive got over 3 grand in one of mine and quite a bit into the others. fun times.

I hear they're more of a pain than anything though cause if one thing goes wrong... no matter how minor... whole car is broke. Then the parts aren't readily available (usually a long drive or wait for shipping) and pretty costly. Seems like it would be 5 mins of driving time per like 8-9 hours of work on them.

I don't know about all that other random stuff you were saying, i think you need to go to Dr. Phil or something LOL - but the comment about the gas powered cars is so true.

i HATE my nitro cars. I have an older Revo, a newer Revo and another random Traxxis.........all dead in the water.

I want an electric one but i have to try to justify spending another $600 when i got a bone yard full of $600 cars that don't work and have 10x that amount sunk into them just keeping them working before i gave up.

They can be a pain Exspecialy tuning for each day,weather ect. Hey if you don't have anyone to rebuild the motors close get back to me. I worked on RC's for 18yrs 10 of those were rebuilding and set up for custermers. If you want to can any of them let me know. I also have the brushless slash I would trade ya with. 79 on 11.1 lipo. Gets very expensive got enough in my axial ax10 to buy one of your 18" subs. Time to kick myself in the butt.

i have been wanting to get into rc cars with an engine too but the price is keeping me from getting into nitro or electric . i seen some guy with a rc car that had what looked like a chain saw or weedeater engine on it , his car didn't go 80 or anywhere close to that speed but it had enough power and top speed to make look like some fun . not sure if it was bought the way i seen it or if some one put it together in their garage . i would try building something like that but the radio and servos are still expensive .
