littlebuck1919
does it cost me anything? imma be honest, it doesn't have a warranty, it was purchased from someone else (the other person was the original owner) cuz i guess if it needs a new something, id like it to be a little beefier if it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to do so. CJ18
Ahh. The warranty is not transferrable. Best bet would be to send it to db-r.
 2.7k 13.1k 19

littlebuck1919
head unit is an Alpine CDA-9886, i checked everything, im not 100% sure how to check to see if maybe its sending it a signal but telling it not to play...and yeah, i know warrenty is non-transferrable, wasnt planning on lieing about it the power light turns on, so i assume that the remote wire is good and that the power and ground are good too. RCP Audio
Have you checked sub output on deck to see if its turned off? lol thats happened to me before lol hes getting voltage through the RCA's so i doubt its that. OP have you tried it in a totally seperate car? Quote PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k. 1991 Mazda 323VERY small build thread here: http://www.stevemead...23-small-build/
 312 1.4k 1
ChevyBoy95
put your DMM to the OUTPUTS of the amp, positive to positive, negative to negative, and see if you get any AC voltage. That would check if there is amp output or not. Also connect the DMM to the RCAs, negative to outer sleeve, positive to inner point. CJ18
Had this one happen recently. Play a 40hz tone and see if you are getting signal at both RCAs. Buddy came to me with the car not sounding right and come to find out one of his RCAs was bad somewhere.
 2.7k 13.1k 19
