Im guessing your new alt has a stator for excessive heat? whats the specs on each alt you got from Singer? just want to know the difference between the 2? The one on the left (silver) is a 3phase, old school big boy tank. The one on the right, is a new 6phase, hair pin design. I acutally LOVE that you noticed that. Hairpin windings make me wet. One on the left is the 350 model, the new one is a large case 270amp beast. In the real world, id expect the hair pin, to actually do every bit of the other, if NOT even beat it. The hairpin, put out more at idle, than any alt mike has tested to date. Peak is not as big boy as others, but, this thing will put power down, at (basically) any rotor speed, and do it super easy/effecient. My goal is to have 2 big hair pins, with this idle bastard doing grunt work. But, that is next year. For now, i think this will do. We will see. And again, great eye. So no more Air Compressor ??
