Purplehaze
i think you do very nice work... looks like you dont cut corners, and u do the shit right.... THumbs up brotha I appreciate that! Nice work man, just read everything from start to finish. Keep up the good work! Thanks man! Yeah and just think, there was two other logs full of build pics and stuff, dammit facebook! I still need to go back and fix those too. I'm loving this build! And why do you prefer TB 2 instead? Thanks man. The reason I like Tightbond 2 better is that it starts setting up a little quicker, and seems to hold a little stronger. The only difference according to the label is TB 2 is water resistant, TB 3 is water proof. Plus a gallon of TB 2 was $16.00, the 3 was $31.00. Totally not worth the difference IMO. Really impressive. I love the detail and thought you put into the wiring/fuse panel. Looks really great. Thank you! I do have a lot of time and thought in it. I got plans for showing that off with some led's and plexi! im going to the same next year in my car nice work by the way keep the pics coming Cool deal I'll be watching! And thanks! Nicely done man. I would say tape the sides, and pour some glue in that seam and call it a day. Or just glass over it, that would work too. I've done that numerous times cutting angles etc. This thing is coming along nicely! Thanks bro! Yeah I'm not worried about it being sealed or anything, since it's double layered, and I will be glassing all the seams inside. But it just looks like crap! So yeah I will most likely use some kitty hair to fill that void, then smooth it out with some rage. I love this build man! You do awesome work! I've been following your build since the beginning when you had the 3 kicker l5 12's all the way to now. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see this playing!! Thanks for following along! I appreciate the compliments for sure! And I am super excited to get to hear it. My goal is to have it ready for Slamology. We shall see! too bad it's a PT cruiser lol, just kidding man Lol, you got jokes! Anyway, thanks for all the compliments guys! I really appreciate them! It really helps motivate me. I just got home from work, so hopefully I can get something done today. Purplehaze
for a second there I thought the ported section was facing the hatch, I was about to be like dafuq? great build man, I bet it will slam when it's all said and done. Haha, yeah you should see my neighbors! They are all kinds of confused, most of them have no idea what "bandpass" means. Ohhhh kitty hair. Good call, I obviously didn't think of that, but yes that would be best. You know me man, even the smallest details drive me nuts! lol Same here man, I spend a lot of time on little details that no one ever notices. Speaking of which, I got some more work in the past few days. Up next is to build bracing for the sealed section, so lets get it! Then I attached the other piece and copied it Then I roughly cut it out Then re-attach the other piece, and break out the router Then after using the flush trim bit, I hit both sides with a 1/2" roundover Oh yeah Next up is the side to side Holy-wood! More coming... Purplehaze
Dremel tool rocks for cleaning edges, etc.. Got to make it pretty...Then repeat the processAfter roundover, both piecesHere it is all mocked up. The bracing is not screwed down, just setting there. And that's where I am now. I still need to add corner bracing to all the seams, and the sealed section will be complete. I did get something in yesterday that has me ALL excited!!! Check it out!First, I ordered up all brass studs, nuts, and washers, for terminals. I ordered yesterday, it showed up today! That is fast! And this is what got me excited! I got some DAP Weldwood, a new spray gun (specifically for glue), and 6 yards of All Sport 4-way stretch vinyl. This stuff is awesome! It's like spandex vinyl! Very stretchy, should be perfect for wrapping my doors! Anyway, more ahead, stay tuned! And thanks for checkin' it out!
