That's the first thing I noticed in that picture, the quality that is. Shallow depth of field. What's in front of the focus plane (what exactly you are focused on) and behind the plane are blurry. You need a larger imager (CCD size in your camera) and a "bright" lens to get the most shallow depth of field. Point and shoots or phones with fixed lenses and tiny sensors can't do that well. These photos can be had with even an entry level SLR camera and stock lens. I'd actually like to know what cam and lens these were shot with as well...
