Dragonware Posted June 20, 2013 Report Share Posted June 20, 2013 i dont have access to any shops or competitions where I live. ive designed an SQ system however just for fun id like to know what my DB levels are at how can i measure this ? would an app on my iphone be accurate enough ? My subs are in a ported 30hz 3.89 cubic feet box. Details in signature. The issue is the sensor, and how accurate it is. If you are sure there is no termlab where you are there should be some other options that have a much more accurate sensor than your phone. Just as you can take this moderately priced gear and give it SQ by proper speaker placement, tuning, etc., you can take Hertz or Focal and make it sound like ass. As for loudness SPL guys usually focus on bass no loud VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT bass then you cant hear anything else but the bass tone for testing ? im just trying to see when I turn my music up and it still sounds clear how loud in terms of DB i can get without loosing quality.
