DubNDodge Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Ken, what I thought of doing was getting a 1x1x? piece for all the joints. Screw it into the bottom, then screw it into the side, or vise versa. (Along with glue on the joint of the box along with where the 1x1 touches.) I just feel like that would be stronger than cleats. n8ball2013 Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 You can do the 1x1 as well. If you tongue and groove your edges it doesn't work as well though imo. The tongue and groove gives you way more edge contact and a stronger seam THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.

ParDeus Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 I'm sure your aware Gorilla Glue expands significantly, right? I never tried it on a enclosure after I had it bust a chair leg when trying to glue the horiztontal brace/doweled end together. It was well clamped, btw.
