Help me pick a cheap drill.

i'd look into either Dewalt or Ridgid 's 12v version. I personally own that Ryobi kit and the Dewalt Li 12v kit holds it's own compared to it.

Makita would be my vote for only $199.

This is the same set as listed above, but you get a free led worklight type deal

Had my maketal drills for years only had 1 issue with a chuck rusting tight after step dad borrowed it and left it in his boat and got soaked. but warranty covered it.

otherwise they have the little makitas for $99 when they are onsale comes with a dril and impact, work pretty well too

$169

$229

Both are the same kit, with same drill, impact, case and light... dont understand the huge price differences on hope depots site... but anyways you can get them for 99$ on sale at homedepot.

Or buy from an online retailer and get them for $99, and can probably get the other makita kit for $150ish online

Craftsman C3 Drill Driver 19.2 V

I have this same set and I have put it through hell, it's still holding up great. Not to bad for only 120$, that's what I got mine for on ebay.

I have the drill and it works great its my go to drill now. I love it for the price. I got one on black Friday for 50 bucks new.

I have the C2 1/2" drive impact and love the thing, so badass. Plus now when I find a C2 Drill cheap on eBay or whatever, the batteries are interchangeable so I'm good to go.

I hate long signatures....

A 1/2" drive impact will have much more torque than the ones in the kits you posted.

If you do any work on cars, you'll thank me after your first 10 minute brake job ;)

I love my makita combo set. Bosch makes a set that is sort of mini. My dad has one I think. Last time I was over there I used it and its pretty sweet. Compact, but not my makita set for sure. Brother-in law as the porter cable and its as good as my makita, we'll see about longevity but I suspect it will be similar.

I dropped my makita drill off of and 8 foot latter. It makes a funny sound but still runs 3 years later. It was actually not mine but a buddy at work. He had it about 5 years with heavy use, so I bought the combo and gave him the new drill and took the old one I dropped. Still runs great.
