Ok didn't want to read through all the post but here is my opinion on the matter. Yes I live in Washington state were this is taking place.

Back in the day most all of these minimum wage jobs were held by teenagers just starting out. It was and still is good money for them. Now bring in the unskilled class that are taking these jobs from the teenagers and making them their job because they cant get a job any were else. Now there is a problem. The small business owners cant afford to pay these people. Do you think the small business owner are rich? fuck no they are not. They make enough to support a family and that's about it.

Now I will have to pay more for my fucking hamburger with the money I work my ass off to get. This whole thing pisses me off.

These jobs were not designed to support a family they were to make a little extra cash. So if you cant get an education and get a real job now you want more money for your job washing dishes cause you cant do anthing else or saying would you like fries with that?? WTF.

Yes I am insensitive but have worked my ass off for what I have.

messed up thing is people who worked hard for years to earn $15 an hour are now making minimum wage

i keep telling my coworkers the same thing and all they care about is making more money.. i even told them when minimum was $4 an hour here milk was $1 a gallon and gas was $0.89 a gallon... minimum went up 100% to $8 an hour and milk cost $6 a gallon and fuel is $4.50 a gallon. 300% inflation to our 100% pay increase. we are far worse now then 15 years ago and they still dont see it.. i even told them if it was better making 2 mil a year and still lived in a shitty apartment and same fucked up car.. they said yes as long as we make more.. i told them i rather make $100 a week and live in Bel air driving a ferrari. they still didnt see my point

You should have at least had to have passed Graduated (not a GED) high school in order to vote. if you got a GED you will have a waiting period of 10 years.

Or not be on any type government aid for the previous 4 years.

I don't see why someone at a fast food joint needs $15.00

However there are some other places I can see someone earning that much, I seen a job listing for local news paper had a real long laundry list of resposibilites for the job and they want you to be able to move/lift 50+ lbs of product on a continuous bases.. Pay was $8.50 an hour, IMO thats bull shit.

how is it bullshit? my job has a requirement to lift 50 lbs. You know how many times I've done it? just because its a requirement doesnt mean you'll be doing it all the time. There is someone out there who will take that job and not say a word about it because they are happy to be working for a living

What is going to happen is that your Mickey ds worker is going to get more pay, retirement, health care to be able to support a family and you the consumer are going to be paying for it. So if you want to pay more for your Big mac so that the person giving it to you can just work that job to support their family then go for it. I sure don't want too. I really don't want to have to pay 20 bucks for a big mac....
