CarbonWarrior
Here's one modeled after "Green Lantern". Alpine TypeX motor from a 12", on an 8 spoke basket, 1/4" spacers, 3" 4 layer flat wound coil, stitched surround, and Genesis black and green dustcap. Custom Swirled the basket myself in a bucket of water. Here's the basket. drying after the swirl on my old bowling ball... LOL. it's perfect for painting baskets and sub parts on. Then it's time to clean the flanges, set the coil depth with spacers in place, and make sure everything is gonna fit right and line up right. Once everything looks good... glue, clamp, dry... and get ready to put the face on All done!!! And, yes... my Munchkin approved. Even though, in his words... it "looks like a pickle! It's a pickle speaker!" LOL

CarbonWarrior
Deadpool is up next. Incriminator Audio "Death Penalty" motor. Thought that was quite fitting... seeing as Deadpools character.3" 8 leyer aluminum round wound coil, 3 nomex linear spiders, woven tinsels, Kicker 15 inch basket painted and re-drilled, pressed and textured pulp cone with red stitched "SPL" style surround. Black and red reflective Genesis dustcap. first, popped the mesh out of the Kicker basket, painted it and glued it back in. Then I added some accents to the basket... didnt come out perfect... but, most will never see this detail, right? LOL Once it all looked decent... started putting it together. had to trim the surround and tweak a few little areas around the flange... but, it all got there, eventually. Fairly happy with the outcome.

CarbonWarrior
Here's the "Patriot"... kindof a "Captain America/Iron Patriot" build... 4 spoke basket with an older DD 2508 motor, swirled basket, 2 nomex spiders, woven tinsels, non-pressed pulp cone, and a Genesis 4.5" dustcap Didnt get many build pics since I was busy making a video of the "swirl process" Munchkin definitely like this one... and, when we tested it with power, it was a reminder how strong the DD motors are... didnt take much power at all to get it throwing pretty hard!!! I tried to get the link... but, my video is only on mf FB page, not on my Youtube. So, cant fgure out how to grab the URL. Also, I say my "Business name" a lot in the video... and, moderators in here already wacked me on the wee wee for trying to put stuff up with my "business" name... since I'm not a "Contributor"... I'll see if I can get the ok to put it in the Fab section, if I can figure out how to grab the URL.
