In other news Sundown Audio constructs the first surrounds specifically designed for playing Bass I Love You

I got the first pictures in of all of the new cones / surrounds -- they are on the way to me for testing so hope to have some mocked up soon! 10" cone / surround (with revised material from last picture) : 12" cone / surround : 15" cone / surround : 18" cone / surround (for the 6-spoke) :

Has anyone noticed how large the surrounds are? Seriously though looks like they would swallow things up on low notes.

All components are now at D'Amore Engineering HQ. They will be in pre - production while we are at SEMA (owner's manuals, boxes, harnesses, ect), and full assembly promptly when we return from SEMA. We will be shipping by the 8th I'm sure. We might setup a webcam on the production of these starting on the 5th

I'm sure a few people are looking at that and thinking...

Production quantity of these surrounds are still going to be into next year. With that being said you would need a new 2012 Sundown frame to use these -- then you could use the NS v.2 coil and v.3 style spider along with it. On 15s the spider size will also jump up to a 10 1/8" diameter unit. You will be motor limited on throw at that point to about 45mm one-way.
