i can understand people might be upset but i think the biggest thing that drives me insane is those fucking thieves stealing shit....they don't care about the dead guy they are just looking for a reason to steal and get a free come-up. Disgusting.

Like i stated before.. wait until everything comes out. My issue is not what happened to the kid.. he stole so it is what it is there but my even bigger issue was how the local police violated the constitutional right of the "PEACEFUL" ones that were out protesting. Making them leave when it is there constitutional right to protest how ever long they feel. Then when they don't leave they are subject to gas and rubber bullets. I can assure you they would have had to kill me that night. In regards to the video, it's why I made a point of waiting until all the evidence came out as none of us were there. I'm still waiting before I say my peace on that part. I have contacted the local person of the ACLU here to ask them very valid questions. What happens when I am protesting and a office of the law points a sniper rifle or any kind of weapon at me? What happens when I am being told I have to go home at a given time from a person of the law? What happens when I don't bow down to that command and get gassed and hit with rubber bullets? What rights do I have to protect my life when I feel threatened by the law when I am in my constitutional right of doing something?

You are wrong in a few aspects of what you have posted. 1) You don't need any type of permit to get together to voice your opinion. That is your constitutional right to do so 2) Your statement that NONE of the protest was peaceful is completely wrong again! There were many protest that went on that were peaceful and without harm. If I am at a protest and following all the laws that are put into place, NO officer can tell me to go home! I can sit there and voice my opinion as long as they want and when someone of the laws tells me that its time for me to go home then i am going to become upset. When the law forces me to move by hitting me with rubber bullets and gas then I am going to fight back and shoot back with things that they will not be able to get up from. as a person who has followed this since say one and when i say follow im talking in regards to all the live feeds, ALL news stations as well as from some people that are actually there, there is so much wrong with what you just said its not even funny.. and this is coming from an American that is labeled African-American. 1) your right brown should have not been shot in the street.. If you look at the surveillance video from the store, thats where he should have been shot! That store owner should have been packing and as soon as the grabbed him by the throat and shoved him and then came at him in a threatening matter in an act to do harm after stealing from his store he should have had a few rounds put in him then. Never should have made it up the street.. you dont come into someone store no matter the race.. steal and then push them and act threatening to them when they try to stop you. 2) there are no reports that the cop followed him so why dont you wait until all the information comes out in regards to that matter 3) there is no dash cam video because there was not one installed in that car. There were only a few selected cars that actually have it installed 4) that was a strong arm robbery. Shoplifting is when you take something sly and leave and if you get caught you are not violent. he was not only violent but threatening and should have been shot in the matter the acted against the store owner in which he just stole from and last no we should not take the cops word for it.. you should never do that as the majority of cops lie ( in my opinion) but that is a choice that michael decided to do. it is nobody's fault but his own. if he would have never went to the store to steal in the first place then there is a good chance that NONE of this would have happened. Karma is a bitch and sometimes it comes in the form of a cold ice dead one. the family of michael should send an apology for the robbery that took place in their store.. dont forget this is also coming from a black guy

and while i agree with some of your statements here there is a issue i have with #3.. In this day and age yes most people are trying to record the police and there is a need and reason for it. It has been proven multiple times and shown how the manner of a police officer changes once they see that they are on video. This is a fact! While it may see a little off to you it could just be that no one was there to film what had happened. Plain and simple. I believe that ALL citizens should record the police. For their safety and for proof, because time and time has shown again that police do lie and lie alot. its very hard for them to lie when you have audio and video. glad that there can be a discussion between 2 people who have somewhat different views on things and nobody gets called out their name or gets banned or heated! Was their maybe to much force used, yes. But it's not the police's job to tell you the law, rather than to inforce the law. It is every citizens job to know the law. Ignorance of the law, is no excuse for breaking the law. edit: as i stated before, their will always be good and bad people in any organization, and would should not judge the entire organization based on a few indivisuals actions.

and the issue that we have with the police these days ( some not all) is that there are no punishment for when they break the law or violate the rights of the American people. Nothing will be done to any of those officers that violated the rights of the media and people that were there and that's what needs to be looked at. When there is no punishment then there is no just cause to change!

The latest I've read is that the police have stopped their tactics against the protestors to let them do their thing, but of course it has to be done peacefully. The moment violence and theft breaks out, I'm all for them using tear gas and rubber bullets. After what happened to the protesters happened ( including the media) then the security was handed over to the state police and the county police was relieved of their duties. They just didn't fire on the peaceful protesters but they did on MEDIA as well.

Their will always be groups of people and individuals, who look for any excuse to break the law. We don't know as of yet the full story, yet the police officer in a lot of peoples mine has been convicted, just because he was white and the deceased was black. The black panthers have asked that all the brothers and sisters take up arms, and now have a bounty out for the officer. Now if there where other groups doing this they would be arrested asap. Now those whining about the protest and their right to do so. Yes they have that right, however, none of the protest turned out to be peacefull, nor was a permit ever applied for, to do the protest. Now before you think i am sticking up for the police, i am not. Some of you know the story of my father and the police. However, I at least have the common sense not to judge an entire organization, for a few bad apples. If a person is to have that sort of mind set, you might as well damn, the whole human race. There were looters there as well as people peacefully protesting on the same night in different areas. true true. I feel that if he was really just executed for no reason than there should be protests and trust me, i am 85% towards Fuck the POLICE for all the dispicible things they do and get away with. Only 15% of me respects them because they aren't all bad and i might need one one day....but they really fuck up their own image with the things they do. In my previous thread that was deleted I addressed this. They should have issued a national kill order on all those looters that were taking and stealing from the business that were there for years and years providing service. There were people there whos only mission was to destroy, steal and cause trouble but there were also people there who didn't steal, loot and cause damage who's sole purpose was to voice their opinion.
