Anyone used this set before and able to give a review? Or link me to a good set to buy from Home Depot? http://m.homedepot.com/p/PRO-SERIES-9-25-in-Steel-Router-Bit-Set-in-Wood-Box-40-Piece-801002/205941541/

Getting real tired of rolling and sliding to the edge of my rack when I try to sleep, and the barrage of shoes and boots falling off the tops of racks throughout berthing.
-
I worked for NOAA back when I was 18 and understand. We did a trip from Miami to Iceland and were in 50+ foot seas. My room was under the galley. Heard crap banging around while trying to sleep. I would stack pillows behind me and get up close to the bulkhead so I wouldn't roll out of my rack. Everything that could tip over we tipped it before hand but crap still kept falling out of our lockers, the doors would fly open and bang. It was hard to sleep for a few weeks. It was hard to work in the engine room also with the heat and the rolling and pitching. Queeze stomach all the time.

Has anyone else gotten Second Skin damplifier 40 pounders that smelled very strongly of cats once they opened it? Or was there just something special about mine?
-
120k miles on the Tahoe today. Plan on getting a tune-up (new plugs & wires, filters/fluids) anything else I should make sure gets looked at/changed out? My brother in-law works at a shop down the road so I usually just pay for the cost of parts and he'll knock it out.

Yeah alignments will be done. I do that with every oil change.
-
you get an alignment every oil change? o_o
-
Yes. Personal preference.

a pair of 4 ohm speakers reading 3.3 ohms each... should be fine right?
- Show previous comments 2 more
-
sounds fine to me
-
Remember, even 4ohm speakers don't stay 4ohm once they get music to them
-
4 ohm is just a placeholder for DC since there is no conversion from DC resistance to AC impedance.

A/C tensioner is done-ski's. No using the A/C until that's replaced

I'm thinking of the compressor
-
Yeah, fuck a compressor. If that went out I would say fuck it I don't need A/C

Lol

After years of ordering Chinese takeout all over the country, I'm convinced they only learned a few words in English. "Hello? Phone number? About ten minutes".

say the word "Rat" next time and see if they react.
-
J/K lol I love chinese food but only from certain spots.

andddd i think it's time to call it a day after drawing the first port wall for a second time and not realizing it until after i already cut it. Start with a clear and fresh mind tomorrow, finish my last three cuts needed for the enclosure, and use the leftovers for the amp/batt rack. and hopefully not need to purchase another sheet of birch.
-
Anddddd my would-have-been great idea is gone. Shortest circuitry discussion in the history of the world....

No, you are right. There is certainly the possibility of a similar way to manage a form of automatic gain control, but not in the way I was thinking. I'll definitely have to do some more looking into it, just a different direction.
-
Look at home audio where you have no gain to mess with, i guess car audio could do the same thing, but i really don't know enough about the why to give an opinion on it.
-
I think when there is an audio input, like a TV output (or something that isn't controllable) to a home audio receiver, it emits a consistent level of output (say doesn't exceed a given output voltage, sort of like a maxed unclipped headunit) and the receiver volume is just your gain knob.

Another great transaction with SHCA. It's been almost two months, the things I wanted weren't in stock, and after being kept updated on it all, it's finally falling into place. Always great CS.

anyone have the WinISD .wrd file for the SoundQubed HDS312D2? I copied the parameters from their site but WinISD says its invalid, and then force-closes when i click "create".

Been putting off getting a spare key made for the Tahoe.... And today is the day I lock my keys in the car... Locksmith on the way, key will be made afterwards

what happened to first spare key?
-
Do you have automatic locks? Just wedge the door a little and stick a long rod and pop the lock or pull the handle
-
@karkov when I bought it the owner only had one and I just kept saying "next time" whenever I was at Home Depot or Walmart.
@ahmed I spent an hour doing that, the only "rod" I have being a wire coat hanger, and it just kept bending every time I got it on the unlock switch. So I gave up.

Bit the bullet and bought the 80prs.

That said, i LOVE the control it has, and can do..... its a killer all in one for sure
-
That's what had me pull the trigger. I wanted something with control for hopefully going active one day
-
mine has only cut out once. i was like O.o

Bought some supplies to try glassing some tweeter pods for my door panels, see how it goes this weekend hopefully
