  1. I guess the whole post a picture of your stock rims didn't mean that you would need to post them actually on the vehicle. Maybe he did submit a picture of them but those sure as hell aren't stock on that vehicle in the picture.
  2. Sweet contest man! I added a pic of my 2013 Scion TC. It could definitely use some new shoes to perk it up a bit. Also that Sony equipment would be easy to put in the ride since there are already locations for 10 speakers in the car stock. How are the winners going to be determined?
  3. I just finished my second transaction with him in the past year and went off without a hitch. We met up and did an exchange instead of shipping since we live close to one another. We did the same when he purchased an amp from me. I would buy or sell to him with confidence, he is a legit dude with fair prices on good equipment. Thanks again bro!
  4. I have a 7 day one, but it came with an Xbox one game. I don't think that they are any different but they may be. I have no use for it since I have a year membership so if you want it pm me.
  5. Sucks that the dude had to try and lie about it. I understand wanting to have an edge on the competition but lying when you get called out on it is being a coward. If you have the balls to cheat then have those same balls to own up to it when your outed. Hopefully this can be avoided in the future so people don't take advantage of a contest designed to expose people to informative videos.
  6. I checked it out yesterday on PS4 and will agree that it has a different feel. In the games I played interceptions came all to easily and the setting was all pro playing against a friend. Its nice to finally be able to return a punt without getting hammered as soon as you catch the ball. I also felt that it was easier to run the ball, which in turn made it harder to tackle on defense. I will probably buy it but they still have a lot of work to do to make it into a solid franchise again.
  7. Well I happen to run an E 12 in my wife's car off of a Kicker zx500.1(which is pretty much the same power yours are seeing) The difference is hers is in 1.45 cubes ported and tuned to 40hz. The sub has never bottomed out nor had an issue. I don't think its because you are only running a sealed box I would bet on loading being the issue. Even ported boxes will react similar if there isn't a proper surface to load off of, they just happen to be a bit more forgiving is all.
  8. To me it seems that the reason you are bottoming out at high volume on the E's is because they aren't loading off of anything. The type R's have the rear gate to load off of but the closest thing is the roof for the E's. I would bet that if you were to flip the box to allow the E's to fire off the rear gate you will notice an improvement as well. Sealed boxes usually don't do well without having a surface to load off of.
  9. In my ZX3 I ran multiple different sub setups. Everything from 1-4 12s, 2 10s, 1-2 15s, and 1 18. You can take your pick but is the $800 for sub's and amp both or just sub's? If it is $800 for everything and you want to run DC it can be done. The 1.2k is a good amp to start with and should be fine on stock electrical. As far as sub's I would honestly look at a pair of Sundown sa12s over the level 2 12s. They will get much louder and I can tell from experience that the Sundown is built better. DC has their good products but you will need to go with a more expensive sub to get that. For example right now in my TC I have 2 sa12's running of a Sundown saz3500d. I have a single XS Power D3400 and a very small box that would easily fit into the Focus since the hatch is bigger than my TC. Anyway it sounds great and is doing a 151.3 on the dash at 46hz sealed and legal. It puts up a 154.4 in the passenger side kick. It could be louder if I was willing to sacrifice more room and add extra batts but I am not into competing anymore. Also the box is a solid daily box tuned to 36hz and plays music great. PM me if you want to talk and I'll send you my phone number.
  10. I happened with to build and own the loudest unwalled hatch build ZX3 in the world. Let me know what you're willing to spend and where you're at and I will make it loud for you. I can promise results if you are willing to spend the money to get loud. I know that car inside and out and had a very nice front stage to keep up with the bass. Also why the hell did you post this in the DC sub forum.
  11. This is what we sell a lot of to the big scotch drinkers where I work. http://glenmorangie.com/ They have good bottles in a decent price range. Also it's something that he would probably appreciate due to the fact that you don't see it everyday.
  12. Not necessarily, it is going to depend on a few more things. The v3 would probably be better for all out SPL and burps, but if you are doing a daily setup the v4 is the way to go. The only small flaw with the v4 is the mounting depth. This makes it hard to put the sub in smaller spaces.
  13. Cool shit bro. That's something this kid is going to remember for the rest of his life. Your a pretty cool dude to do this for some people just randomly showing up on your doorstep.
  14. Good lookin out bro. Stupid motherfuckers phishing for info. Like your said though some less computer savy people may fall for this shit. I have never heard of a phone call from Microsoft for anything, I think they deal specifically in emails anyway.
  15. Sorry I haven't been on to answer and thank everybody for their responses, but my little boy has been sick and I've had to take time away from work etc...Anyways, I decided I needed more power to correctly push this bad boy so I got a great deal on a brand new Alpine MRX-M240. RMS Power Output @ 2 Ohms 2400 Watts and everywhere I read people were saying that brith sheets ranged from 2560-2700 @2 ohms. Plus, I got it brand new for $350.00 and free shipping to boot!! I know there are plenty better deals out there for amps @1ohm but I am dealing with a 2ohm setup here... After extensive searching and 2 different deals falling through I settled on this guy. I am getting it tomorrow so I will check back in for anyone who might be interested in the particulars. If anyone has any first hand experience with this particular amp then any constructive input is always welcome, and as long as respect is shown, respect is always given. Thanks again for any help. That amp should work just fine but be prepared to step up your electrical some. Also it probably won't do the entire 2400 watts its rated at, more like something in the 1800-2000 watts of usable power which is still enough. I would build a box for the sub as well if it were me. I would go with 2.5 cubes after displacement with 2 4" aeroports and tune it to 34hz or so. Those sub's are meant to be in a larger box than the other Sundown subs and the larger box should handle that amount of power just fine as long as you are responsible with the volume.
  16. I honestly think that the sa15 is the way to go. Maybe in the future you could even upgrade from that, but the sa will get very very loud. In an unwalled setup my old car did a 155+ with only 4 sa12's and 2 saz3500's. The new car I have 2 sa12's and a single saz3500 and is right around a 150. For the money the sa is going to be the choice I would go with 100/100 times.
  17. My current box is actually 2 sa12s in a Scion TC and is 2.8 cubes after displacement with 2 4" aeroports. I'm running a single saz3500d to it at the moment. But, here are the pics you requested.
  18. I've owned several Nightshades with many different custom options that Jake wanted me to try out and see how they performed. I've also owned a couple variety of sa woofers. Imo the sa is the better sounding out of the two. To be specific the sa with the higher roll surround and stitched surround is the best sounding Sundown woofer that I've owned. However, as its been previously stated 95% of the sq comes out of the box. The current box I have for two sa12s happens to sound better than all of my previous. One reason is because of the grade of birch I used and the other is a very good ratio of port area to box volume.
  19. Solid install bro. Too bad there wasn't a little more room or it would be scary what you could do.
  20. I'm hanging in there brother. I'm glad to see you still at it though. Motherfuckers don't know bout Thor's hammers. I got a new car and down graded but still troll around here every now and again. Can't wait to see what you do next man, keep the good shit coming.
  21. Awesome Rob!!! You have that GP slammin bro. Glad to see you still puttin in work.
  22. Here is a link to the Nostalgia beat on the Zelda theme. I think this one drops super hard.
  23. Do you wish you would have went with a bigger box? If so you are asking to break those subs. The sa12 works very well in a smaller enclosure. If you go any bigger than you are now you will start to harm the subs off that power. In my case now that I down graded setups to my new car, I have done 2 sa12's off a saz3500 at .5 ohms and I would bet you would like the way it would sound. Each sub sits in 1.4 cubes with approx. 9 sqin of port per cuft and is tuned to 37hz. The setup is loud and in the high 140 to low 150 db range. Now when I had 4 sa12's off a pair of saz3500's I ran each sub in 1.56 cubes with 12sqin of port and was loud. If anything I would try shrinking your box before going bigger and retuning it to meet your particular style.
  24. I have built several enclosures for Sundown subs but never the sa15s. I have mostly done Nightshades and usually go with 3 cubes after displacement with about 8.5 sqin of port per cuft. For the sa I would do 2.5 cubes with 2 4" aeroports tuned to 35-37 hz. This will give you 10 sqin per cuft. Also the reason for tuning higher will keep the sub safe. I have broken the triple joint on the sa12s by tuning low. The sub is not made to move to to the extent that 32hz demands with a lot of power. This will save you some trouble in the long run.
