i agree with heat and rubber maybe being louder. but wouldnt the actual air in the cabin being cold be better because its less dense so therefor easier to move??

You have batts you have a h/o alt you have the big3...what more do you need. Maybe a BIGGER alt but you should be able to push that setup pretty hard with what you have. you just might not be able to beat down for very long! or just run one. because you would lose output by using two in that fashon. If im correct you would only get 1500 watts out of that setup. Whereas you would get 1750 out of 1 at 2 ohms. see what everyone else has to say but i say runem!

lowriders are not really my thing but the amount of work they put into it, you have to give an amazing amount of respect to them. Just on show days im amazed at all they do to make their car stand out.

i think it was nightshade that went down in subs and actually got more dbs. So maybe going smaller you can actually get more sound out. bigger is not ALWAYS better. but it usually is more fun!

Well over the weekend i attended and competed in a sound comp for the first time. It was a two day event with with about 30 or so cars. Not very big at all. There was absolutely no advertising for it except for Floridaspl.com. Saturday was qualifying. I decided to run in USACi Modified 1001-2000(watts) class. During first run in qualifying i was able to muster a 145.00Db score. I decided to let the truck run and charge the batts and change a few settings on the amps. Second time around i was able to get 145.7Db. I left not long after the second run and thought my scores had be recorded. I ended up getting screwed out of the comp because I was un able to get my truck back from my roomate til noon sunday. by the time i got back to the show they had already finalised the scores, and i didnt have a score at all. Which really sucks because i think i would have placed if not won in my class. All in all i really didnt care about winning. although another trophy is always nice. I just wanted a score on the sanctioned mic that is used now a days. Equipment: 4 JL Audio 12W6V2D4 2 JL Audio 1000/1 BlowThrough with Ported Enclosure Tuned to 34hrz in a 2001 F150 Harley Edition The Mic Was placed in the passenger Floorboard with the drivers door opended about 6in.

wtf is this dumb shit??? first they meter it...which is a clear and dry way to see who wins. but then they check "just clarity" these people wouldnt know clarity if they got tea bagged in the face with it. what are they using EVs and bullet tweeters? These are the pics from doing the cut through. I am not in the cutting pictures because i honestly did have the balls. So while Joe Dirt (Old Install manager from Sound Advice) was cutting i was somewhere else. Then i came in behind and sealed it up. This is pictures of the "sleve" i used to slide the box into to keep it straight. hope that helps you out a little bit. If you have never done one plan on a few days/weekends to get it right and sealed. Its took me a while to get ever leak out.
