  1. Yea, they won't spin freely like crazy, but they shouldn't clunk or grind. They need to turn smooth.
  2. You can jack up all the tires and turn them by hand. If they feel clunky or grind then the bearings are bad.
  3. Kinda cool, as long as it's not my amp. Haha. It can't take much voltage or current to cut those cans.
  4. There are videos of people removing dents with a hair dryer and a can of compressed air.
  5. To go along with what Snow said, the easiest way is to lay off the skinny pedal. I drive like a grandpa and still barely pull 12 mpg out of my Ram. But It would be around 10 if I drove any different......
  6. University of Cincinnati I wanted mechanical engineering, but apparently so does everyone else in the world. For my class you needed a 3.5 to make it.......I'm not that smart. I just transferred Aerospace Engineering. It's like a sister to Mechanical.
  7. try swapping fused. If the fuse is loose or bad the amp could jump in and out of protect mode when you turn it up.
  8. I can't even count the number of times I have used power tools past 7pm at night. I try not to use them that late so I don't piss people off but sometimes you just need to so I close the garage up and do it fast. But then again I don't live in a fancy community and my neighbors aren't douchbags. If you don't use power tools during quiet hours can they do anything? Technically you aren't breaking any rules then.
  9. Move? I don't think you will get around their rules. I have a friend who lives in a gated community. He get yelled at if he leaves his garage open for more than 30 minutes......
  10. Nice work! I used Inventor in high school. I just started a class with SolidEdge and I don't like that program as much.
  11. If you are serious about repairing it then you will need to weld in patch panels. If it's that bad then chances are it's a common problem and someone will offer a custom stamped patch.
  12. Wow that thread makes the swap actually seem really simple. I would say go for it. hell of a lot cheaper than a new tranny. And since 5th gear is already busted it's not like you can make it any worse! That's the motto I use to fix things.
  13. When I drill metal I lubricate the bit and turn at a slower speed. I drilled a handful of holes in 3/16 steel the other day. It takes a while but it keeps the bit alive.
  14. The sad thing is that I am in calc 2, my final is monday, and I can't answer that question. haha. I think it's because pi is a constant multiplier of x so you can bring it out front, but I could be wrong.
  15. I taught myself how to fix small engines so I have been doing repairs on things like lawn mowers and snow blowers my whole life. You can make some decent side money considering I garbage pick all the old machines for free and turn them around for almost pure profit. My first real job was as a dishwasher. My friend got me the job. Did that for two summers. Not hard or super fun but it was a job. Last summer I worked for the my school district doing summer maintenance. My old assistant principal actually recommended me for the job. I may have been in his office a lot for dumb stuff but he knows I am a hard worker. Haha. Now I'm on the lookout for engineering co-ops for next year.
  16. If people think 18's are sloppy...... Better not let them see this!
  17. There is this website where you enter your available letters and it will give you the most obvious words. I don't remember the websites name. My friends use it on this game when people have horrible drawings.
  18. Definitely pay more for the Rage Extreme. I have used the Auzone bondo brand stuff and it is hard to sand and FULL of pin holes that have to be gone over again. The Rage Extreme is easy to sand and if you do it right it is nearly pin hole free. A gallon is about $70 but a gallon will last you a long time. I have done lots of audio projects like door pods not to mention a fair amount of body work on my truck and I still have more than half a gallon left.
  19. I played hockey my entire life. Starting goalie for 3 years on my high schools hockey team. Greatest years of my life. My college has a club team but I don't have the time and they already have 3 goalies so it's not like I would play. I haven't suited up in over a year.
