  1. Kind of thinking maybe 4 10s or 12s now. Out of curiosity how do these subs sound in a sealed box?
  2. Oh alright, well thanks for the info on the box though.
  3. Thats what I was thinking. I have the room but I'm trying save cargo area. How do you think those skars would sound in that sealed box?
  4. I was wanting some opinions on whether I should port this box or not. It's right at 3^ft after sub and brace displacement. There will be 4 skar vvx 10s in it running off a crescendo bc2000d. That is an amp rack on top in case anyone doesn't know. Thanks for your time.
  5. Awesome. Thanks for the help. Anyone got a link to the vid with the 12s?
  6. would 2 skar vvx 15s be ok on a crescendo 2000 in about a 6^ft box tuned around 34?
  7. Yeah, I've done it before on an old kenwood flip out I had. I extended to wires goin to the brain box so I tuck it away nicely.
  8. I couldn't give you an honest opinion on Fi bc I have no experience with them. I will say that I am going to be running DC audio in my next setup and the reps that's I have talked to have been outstandingly helpful with any questions I have had and really informative with quick replies. That type of customer service gets major points for me.
  9. I wouldn't go with RE bc you can find better for the same price. My buddy had 2 re 10s that he replaced later with some cheaper powerbass subs and honestly the powerbass sounded a lot better imo. In that price range I would def look at dc or maybe even skar but thats just my opinion.
  10. When I had 2 L7 15s in my trailblazer I originally had them subs up and port up. I then changed to port back where it could load of the gate and it was noticeably louder.
  11. I believe I was told they are around 13lbs and I'm planning to have a 8 and 1 6.5 component set in the doors of my trailblazer. I shouldn't have a problem right? I would think the trailblazer doors could handle an extra 15lbs or so.
  12. How heavy did it make your doors and how do those dc 8s sound in the door? Any vids? Thanks.
  13. Thanks for the pics it helps me have a better idea of how it's going to happen. With you guys mentioning the weight on the door and saying its a bad idea should I just scrap the idea of doing that woofer and go with something like a powerbass 8" driver like this? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_26899_PowerBass-Xtreme-4XL-80-94.html If so how much mid bass would these produce? Oh I should probably me tion why I wanted to run a pure woofer in the first place. I have a 5ch amp that I'm planning on using just for my door setup and the 5th Chanel(sub chanel) for the 8s. The amp is a hifonics 60 x 4 @ 4 ohms and the mono Chanel is 1000x1 @ 1ohm.
  14. I was wanting to try and put some dc 8s in my door just to see how it would be but I wasn't sure how it would sound. I know they wouldn't be great free air that's why I'm wanting to do a small sealed enclosure for it behind the panel.
