as already stated if have Scott at FI whip up a recone kit for it. He's the originator of the sub so he would have the most knowledge as to any request you may have.

its owned by aamp of america now (stinger) so the amps are much better, have been pretty nice amps over all for us. love the look of the SD line as well.

your going to have a hard time with any of those subs mentioned, getting the same response as that JL. 2 of those mentioned are ment to get alot of output and in doing that are very stiff. where your 8 is pretty long throw and not very stiff at all. with alot of box trial and error you may be able to match it, but your probably be better off buying a second one of the same subwoofer.

id take the bracing out. not needed at all, and it restricts the port and takes up internal space.

or get a speaker thats MEANT for bass and not midrange/high frequencies. Pheonix Gold SD series amps are nice as well.

Thanks to the guys with the positive feedback. thats cool and all, but in the past everything has been dropshipped, nothing against your particular company, i just think ALL dropshippers dont really diserve the markup they put on a product that they never really have in the first place. Nobody asked when your company was with Sundown from, they asked which company would be the preferred choice to order from. Id pick one of the largest sites on the internet for car audio hands down, over a site that in the past just dropships.Again, NOTHING AGAINST your personal company, thats just a blanket statement for any companies involved.

both rubicon and the mb quarts onyx are trash. look at audison SR series for affordable clean power, hell even look at the Arc KS line of amps for something affordable thats clean. those other amps mentioned in the OP are what i like to call throw away amps

nobody can tell you what YOU should do. if everythign is set correctly nothing will be hurt.

same thing with DD3500 and 9500 series btw as far as running a small amp on a larger sub. just set it properly and its not going to matter what subs on it. It will just do what its supposed to do.

not true. it comes down to efficiency... for instance in testing a 1000 watts on a fi q and 1000watts on a BTL the BTL was always louder
