cant finish. 20 degrees outside, and will only get burrrer

quiet as hell, cant even hear it start, it like its new!

I use to cringe starting it at night because it was so damn loud!

  3. Email Byron directly. He is who I always dealt with and prompt as hell, sending me batteries out before I even get an invoice emailed to me to be paid. [email protected]
  4. Yup, towed it to the transmission shop this afternoon, and they will even keep it indoors for me as well. Thats a HUGE plus! One guy said he knows this truck and it was loud before, he asked what it does now I said its over a 156 and I''ll bring it back once I get all the fuses and batteries connected for him to hear it. So he is all giggity. Think it needs a new starter too now, so I told them to just do that right away. Should hopefully have it back by Friday from what they said, maybe Thursday if they can get a flex plate soon enough Which ever company gives me the best deal.
  5. I has no Facebook, can't see the vid. dont need to be logged in to see it so you should just be able to click the link. Is that good or bad? LLoLL
  6. Your probably hearing the sound of the air moving in and out of the venting on the woofer. After all its a paper cone.
  7. tahoe is dead, cranked on the crank so many times to get the flywheel out of its bad spot that the bolt is almost rounded.

  8. ok thanks i was looking at 3 of the 7500s so 4 ok ill talk to him about it thanks... he better not change his mind after this Going off SonicElectronix prices, you can get 6 D3100s for less than 4 D7500s, and the D3100s will only weight 53.2lbs more (the only downfall) while having more combined reserve spec wise. Plus sometimes it is a lot easier to make room for a few more smaller batteries than a few larger batteries.
  9. Im running S3400 under the hood under my tahoe no issues. but they are towards the front more.
  10. cool! I just seen it on tv after seeing this thread!
  11. Depends on the woofers, dont think the BTLs would take a 4500 each.. Took the amp down, and put 2 back up, had to center them to make it look a tad better. 1/0 OFC from CT Sounds soldered up with some ring terminals to power the two 4500s. Power wires hooked up Getting a little cluttered back here, but until I pick up three more D3100s, and some busbars for all 8 D3100s its going to be a little challenge to keep things somewhat organized. Some temp rca cords for the time being. Hopefully I will get the RF 3SIXTY.2 up and running soon!
  12. Usually takes the time for Steve to see the payment show up and for an admin to select the option for the user. So possibly a few days.
  13. that moment you lock a thread before another person that is replying is able to reply... HA

  14. Was just about to post that here, but you already did. So dang sexy!!
  15. Damn, I dont see my name. Congrats to any of those who won that are on here!
  16. Personally since your using the HU on board amplifier for your mids and tweets, I would use the DD-1 on the HU amp first, because volume 27 may be distorted (even if you cant hear it). Just because the deck says its clean on the preouts at the volume, doesnt mean the on board amplifier is.... Once you find the true clean distortion free output of the on board hu amp, than tune your external amplifier for your subs at that volume.
  17. I finally decided to harm some 2by4s today I figured it would be the easiest way to test and tune and test and tune. They are not permanent and will be coming out when I build a loading wall/port for it, which I will not do until I am able to seal the wall off 100% which will yield slightly different results, and get trim panels built. As I said, the sides of the wall are still not sealed because I need to run some decent RCA cords (that dont have a 6.7ohm resistance), speaker wire, remote wire, etc. So from the testing I did last night with the btls I was peaking at 47hz, and that was with no loading wall. Today I started to shrink it, and Im now peaking at 43-44hz instead. I lost .2db from its peak yesterday to its new peak today, so I guess that is not too bad.
