  1. Any DD woofer is by far more expensive then a DC woofer.... If you cant afford DC audio, you sure as hell cant afford DD audio even if the woofer was used and beat too hell.
  2. Oh man, i have that same dc power shirt that kyle sent me... Its a conspirecy I say, conspirecy!
  3. great find, amazon lists it as 0gauge, but the pic shows 4gauge. Either way its cheap cca wire.
  4. Chat kick problem fixed. Thanks kyle!!! all skins work perfect in chat!!
  5. Im loving the "Infinite Dark" skin!! it makes the forums wider so there is not so much wasted space on the sides . Im now happy again lol errrrrr when I changed the skin I just error out in chat saying ive been kicked with this skin. was fine with smd carbon red/grey skin. also fine in smd blood skin. normal ip skin is fine too. Only errors out on the infiniate dark skin
  6. w00t we have a moderator control panel. all that usefull info all in 1 place!!
  7. Anyone here have a good source? I myself need some ammo for my .22 revolver, .45acp rugur, and 12 gauge remington shotty. But a couple other friends are down for one big order, so we need ammo for his 410judge, xd40, couple different glocks, etc. We got a good amount of weapons so we need a good amount of ammo to go have fun! Already been checking out cheaperthandirt.com, just wondering if there are any other cheaper places or places with more selections (brand wise)
  8. I am very sad, Gandar Mountain did not have my hornady Zombie killing bullets I wanted for my .45 :( So I ended up leaving with a new holster to conceal the gun instead.

  10. Cmon bro, you know better than that. People never do that! Its always the manufactures fault for when something blows like the pico fuse, or anything else that may happen from ground out the rca's.. LoL
  11. It seems that Im being accused of being a "bully" on the site because I am "picking" on people. Odd that when almost all my posts are positive or helping someone with technical help with actual FACTS and telling people the truth instead of "theories" like some that are just telling people what they want to hear even if its not true..

  12. Old roof tore off, along with the old wood base, new wood is already laid and the rubber is on the roof to be installed tomorrow :D

Sweet! Glad things are working out for ya, didn't think you would be able to get it done in the dead of winter.

Every thing is still not worked out, but fact is it NEEDS to be done, insurance covering it all, none or a little, it needs to be fixed!

It was over 50 degrees here today. and should be 40+ tomorrow, and the next couple days

  13. They are decent motors. but it should be a 3.5 inch coil, not 3 inch.
  14. Like a good neighbor State Farm is NOT there, with a dumbass motherfucking insurance claims adjuster that dont even know how to climb a ladder he carries in the trunk of his car!

We have state farm and it's the best insurance we've had. Maybe it's cause we've been with them for AWHILE.

Yea... Insurance companies always are great, until the time comes to make a claim and they say its not covered when its in black and white print on your policy....

funny, i know body shops here that refuse state farm claims because they don't pay the bill

  15. Yes, its fine. Just was an tutorial to follow if you wanted too. not a rule saying items must be shipped that way. Also like I said, packing peanuts and bubble wrap wont protect anything. General rule most shipping companies will tell you is to package your items to survive a fall/drop from 10 feet!!
  16. Im pretty sure its the topic i made a while ago out of some scrap materials laying around.. You dont have to do what I said. I am just one that wants the item to arrive safe and sound. Other people have shipped items in a carboard box inside another box slightly bigger. then used those foam pool noodles to wrap around the basket. You want to insure that your speaker will not get damaged when ever the box maybe turned on its side or upside down which can and will damage the surround or cone. Also DO NOT USE OR RELY ON PACKING PEANUTS OR BUBBLE WRAP! They will not do anything to protect the woofer, the bubble wrap will pop under the weight of a speaker, and the packing peanuts will just squish flat.
  17. The cda 9887 should have 4volt pre outs. There is no need for a line driver at all, even if your headunit had 2volt preouts. Simply right now the line driver is causing more harm than needed. Two ways to fix this would be: 1: ditch the line driver that is not needed. 2: turn your headunit volume down to a level that does not cause distortion on the amp due to the line driver. Your problem just proves linedrivers are not needed ever (unless you have a setup and your running like 6+amps from 1 set of preouts).
  18. Yea, if no distortion was detected with both 40hz and 1000hz on all preouts then you are correct, clip free at max volume. And yes, keep the subwoofer volume on 15/15 for all testing. This means your amp will be tuned for distortion free at subwoofer volume. When you turn the subwoofer volume down you reduce the pre out voltage which results in the subs getting quieter (sort of like manually turning the gain down on your amplifier). Hence why your dd-1 was not picking up a signal when the sub volume was all the way down, since the rca voltage was reduced to almost nothing at all. You will then be able to choose your subwoofer volume like a remote gain knob using the subwoofer volume level on the headunit.
  19. Do you have your subwoofer volume turned up? Have you also tried a different set of rca outputs like the front or rears, to make sure its not an issue with the subwoofer channel?
  20. You can order directly from the second skin site. http://secondskinaudio.com/
  21. If your looking for something cheap for a meantime type deal just to get some bass, before going bigger and fully custom they do make a box to fit the cars They are not all too bad for being prefab boxes. It would be something to get him by on the cheap. This box is for 10s http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM2613202402P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 This box is for 12s http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM2613202502P?sid=IDx20101019x00001a&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=SPM2613202502
  22. yes long before the box and the battery cover was wrapped in vinyl. Hell it was before the tahoe had SMDs in it, since you can see the wires on the left side of the truck in the open. That was all changed pre smd woofers and rf bdcps which came slightly after the smd subs. As stated, nothing but marketing promotion by XS Power, since his ride is used in a few of there new catalogs for the new battery line ups.
  23. No, that is a photochop by XS Power to promote their new line of batteries. that was done a few months ago or so. I dont think Steve would switch to batteries that are the same size, but have a lesser discharge, even if they would be free.
  24. Kinda wish I had that $139.99 right now. time to go to the corner and find a chick to pimp out... lol
  25. Juan seemed like a cool mofo when I spoke with him on the phone. Im sure you can trust him 100% with your upgrade snow. Dont think you will be disappointed
