  1. I purchased a CT sounds 2500.1 from Patrick aka flwatersaver, everything went good and smooth, amp will be here friday so can't wait to have some real power. Awesome dude to do business with and look forward to do more in the future Thank you
  2. Ohh ok lol I must of missed that Possible box leak? Either way I would ditch the alpine subs and build a good box for the sundown s
  3. It's the whole mixing subs thing that is causing issues, you can't mix subs in the same box, complete different specs from each other and it's causing issues for you, I honestly laugh when ppl do this bc they think, ah man no big deal. Well it is a big deal bc once again, different specs I'm not trying to burst your bubble here but those subs are basically fighting each other bc different specs for the alpine and sundown That is my theory
  4. Yeah Mechman blamed me for a regulator on my alt going bad due to 3krms. It's a 170a alt but sorry dude that doesn't happen. I'll never buy a Mechman again.
  5. Just go by the dd-1 and don't worry, those tracks you used where off or something.
  6. no drinking and drving guys, be safe out there and have a good time. happy new years eve=)

I highly doubt that CT is built as well as AQ/SQ, only time will tell.

the ear ometer.. not going to say its not a good amp but its only a few watts.. you wont be able to tell the difference between the ct1400 and the aq2200.. the ct1400 does more than rated at 14v.. im not going to say it better or louder and of coarse to the ear they will sound just about the same

i understand what you guys are saying and i agree, obv the aq will put out about 200w more or so but even on a meter you wouldnt be able to tell. but i dont drop below 14. but i like this amp alot and as for it being as well built as the AQ, your right, time will tell.

  8. I'm at -10db and I play songs from -3 to -7db so am I clipping then..
  9. The belt is pretty damn tight, it's fine. I don't hear slipping. Also got a smaller belt with this alt. I talked to mechman over the phone and got it all worked out. Gonna send it out and they said about putting a 12v turn on in the alternator or something to make the alt work constant? Didn't make sense to me. They will also check anything else. And gally. Is that true with ecotecs?
  10. got my AQ HDS300 12s in yesterday, they are stiff as hell but they are amazing, i love these subs!

  11. Here is the info mechman gave me when I asked about an alt. Not sure the size of pulley. Those vehicles have a pretty low idle speed, and a relatively small crank pulley, so I generally recommend either the 170 amp or the 240 amp S series unit if you want really good output below 800 engine RPM. The 320 amp unit starts making good output at about 800 rpm engine speed and above. (if you require a lot of power, but also want good output at idle, there are power programmers available to increase the idle speed of the vehicle to 800 rpm if necessary) All three S series units are pretty much indestructible, even in hot climates. All the S series units feature our twin heavy duty internal rectifiers, oversize charge post, billet aluminum overdrive pulley, cutting edge 6 phase hairpin stator technology, and 12 massive diodes. 6 phase technology allows for outstanding low RPM output, in a moderately sized housing that bolts right in to the stock location. All S series units are made in the USA and come with a 2 year warranty.
  12. I know mechman said they have really low idle, so that's why you don't use the stock harness plug for alt. I tried some research and can't find shit
  13. Yeh I understand. Thanks for helping n8 I'll check back with more info
  14. Oh ok lol that makes sense bro. I'm sure mechman will give my money back. There a great company, just my luck I guess
  15. It shit out twice on me, that's why I'm upset. I'm Not calling mechman out. I just don't get how it's the car when the harness plug is not being used But I will try to contact mechman again. They said they would call back a few times and never did. I have my stock alt, the plug inside is bad. Just frustrated guys. No beef with mechman
  16. Bc I don't have another alt to replace that with. Rather not have them fix it a 3rd time and something happen again. That's all. I thought maybe some of you guys could help. I'll check shit out
  17. Ok Nate, I'll check it out. The alt works fine when it finally kicks in. Also what I forgot to mention, I don't use the stock harness plug, mine has something built in where you don't have to use that. Can't take it out either. When it's warm out it doesn't do it. Sadly won't be warm till spring lol
