any hairpin alternator will be a monster at idle. thats what they are designed to do. thats why i will run nothing but hairpins. my old alt did not idle at all. (350A alt on a 4 cylinder 2.2 liter). i didnt realize how much i hated it until i went to a 240A hairpin. the new lower rated alt gives more power at idle than my old larger one and almost the same peak. one thing id like to point out for everyone is to confirm from the company if you are buying a cold peak rated alternator or a hot rated alternator. Most companies that we all know and love rate their alts with a cold peak rating. A few tests I have done on multiple of these alts show thier true colors hot are not so nice. so that is why the 240A that i got turned out to be overall better than the 350 I had since the 240 was hot rated adn 350 was cold rated. my .02!

sub wasnt mounted right, it had a leak on bottome side. I remounted and got a 150.4 with the single 12!!

it was on 2 dd m4 at .25 each. the box was 7 cubes net. 7.25 without both 12s in.

D3100 question

ive ran an xs d5100 with my stock battery for about a year. it was a daily driven car though. if this is your daily driver you wont have an issue. BUT, if you go on vacation or leave the car more than 3 or 4 days I would recommend disconnecting the d3100 from the front. thats how I got around the whole issue. ran it for a year like that no issues with 1 xs and 1 stock battery. and the 5100 battery load tested fine and is still in use to this day. my buddy currently does the same thing until he can afford a new battery up front. -
since you already voided your warranty, care to open up and take a pic for us? lol. id be interested to see what they use.

one of my subs broke withing 30 seconds of its maiden voyage at slamology, i took it out last night and disected sub today to see what went wrong, I found a razor blade (not matching any of my knifes) stuck to neo in gap. I know I didnt put it there... pisses me off people really have to stoop to that level and ruin my weekend because they are afraid of a little competition. SMDH

Had a dream last night about the sky high lifted gmc. It was just blasting music and it was so loud that's all I could hear. And it was like 40 feet tall. Just looked ridiculous. Cops go lt called and thought it was me. They said there is no way it's that car, it's too loud ". Then I got in car and tried to get away. Lol woke up. Excited to hear it at slam.

i bet you the waves from the type r are casuing the e to bottom. instead of a canceling effect it is pushing more on the cone and pushing them further. or you are clipping at some point in the system and the amp has no control of the subs and you are launching the cones. my buddy has a type e sundown on 500 watts and it does fine.

awesome looks good. Yea LED controllers seem to be very noisy. put a filtering cap in the postive and it helps greatly. also helps them not to dim if you have some voltage drop

lol. i could tell from the first post he didnt have an external regulator. need blue voltage control box. seing you dont have experience you are gunna want to have someone mod the alt for external regulation. so your gunna want to take the alt out and send her in
