Nah insurance companies only look at what it will cost them, if someone else besides named driver is driving the car and crashes it the insurance company will only think that the person who owns the car, isnt worried about letting other people drive it so to them the risk goes up and they bump up premiums. Edit: should have said it depends on the policy, you can get ones where aslong as the person has a full licence and have your permission they are covered in your car.
