  1. sorry, forgot to answer that.....the plexi is cut so precise, that once it goes in, past the leather in the corners, it "bites" itself into place. It has nothing but the fact its snug, and the corners "snag" just right. Its hard to explain. It is upside down 99.9999% of the time and so far, it doesn't budge. Plus, my little pick-tool can get behind it and pop it out with a little pull in a few spots. It actually does not fall out but is easy to pop out if you need to. Win! what about the bass pressure would that make the glass rattle out Since he sealed off the box very well, I don't think the bass should go to the trunk at all.
  2. I always enjoy jamming to Pink Floyd on one of my drives. Edit: To OP, you're a lucky man, I wish I had Cornwalls
  3. Not a bad deal, even though you should build your own box to get the most outta those type x's
  4. Designed correctly, a ported box will sound better than a sealed box, but a sealed box is very easy to design.
  5. I always find it a bad idea to use 2 different amps for 2 of the same subs, even if they are rated at the same rms. I think it would be easier to just sell both amps, and get a 2000 watt rms amp to power both of them. and not worry about equal power distribution, and less wiring of course.
  6. I was thinking that a 270 alt would allow you to have 3240 rms on a 12 volt system or 3888 rms on a 14.4 volt system safely.
  7. This saddens me, kids today are just a bunch pieces of shit raised by bigger pieces of shit who forgot to teach them manners. Whatever happened to "Respect Your Elders", that poor lady was defenseless against those bunches of kids, and they just kept going at it. When I was growing up, I was taught to respect my elders or at least those who were older than me, and I always have. Parents today need to stop being "friends" with their kids, and start being parents, I know when I used to do something stupid, my parents would do something about it like either take away my TV, Ps2, or something like that, and I know I used be damn scared of my dad yelling at me when I was little when I was misbehaving.
  8. I dream of a demo from either the IS-F or the Tahoe, but too bad I live in Florida. One day maybe. Steve, your wiring skills are over 9000
  9. Yeah, either way will sound good if properly installed and setup right. I say 2 12's cause more cone area but who knows really. The sound of the sub is dependent of the box and a few other things, not the size
  10. What you wanna do reminds me of what Steve Meade did with his Honda Civic wall
  11. Well, with 2 12's, you'll get more cone area
  12. I know my older brother has a huge collection of Pokemon cards from back in the day, even still has his 1st edition Charizard card. Though I think he told me he's waiting till they get really old to sell them, and in a couple of years, his collection will be 20 years old.
  13. This should help, though I've heard the port should be on the driver side facing the same direction as the sub in a sedan, that's how I have on mine. Here's to help explain a little better on ported boxes, but for slot port, the port should between 12 - 16 in^2 port area per foot http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/38791-torres-box-tuning-calculator/
  14. If you want to save room in your trunk, focus on width, and height more than length. The T2 likes 1.75 - 2.25 cu ft after displacement for ported. Here's a helpful forum topic on how to use torres calculator, and how to make a design on google sketchup http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/145174-ported-box-design-a-tutorial/
  15. Yeah, either wall the car to get the most output, or if you want all your seats, face the box forward, seal it from the trunk so all the bass goes inside the cabin area, and fold down the back seats if possible.
  16. Been trying to get a job so I can work more on my car. Though the only thing I have laying around is a crappy "refoamed" 12' 250 watt rms JVC sub
  17. The grommet on my car was on the passenger side, so it was interesting running the power wire through the passenger side.
