So the box is unloading cause a mixture of it's over sized and playing under tuning on a sub with a frequency response that stops at 31 hz so he claims he's got the uber lows anyways. sounds legit. It's your choice, and it plays the frequencies you want. The 9500 is a pretty decent sub actually, as good as that level 4 IMO, the only MTX i'd use, ever. As to the cone sinking in, thats strange. As you've tested it on more than one amp, i'd guess it's probably the woofers phase swing, and something about the way power effects it in combination with its flux. Some advice, when posting a question, put as much info in as possible as to what you are looking for and have tested.
