MrEwubbsZ
I have the second picture one under the hood. But It does seem like it would be to long for inside the truck. I wouldnt really know where to mount it. Ill probably use the top one on the inside 2000 Ranger Build Log
Sosebee
AGU fuses (bottom picture) are only rated to 100 amps if I'm not mistaken. bighossf150
I just got a BlueSea ANL fuse holder (and fuses). http://bluesea.com/c...productline/129 Expensive, but its so much better than most of the others. I added some pics in my build log of how I used it. Your second pic would be great if you need a waterproof option but as long as you're careful when washing the car, you shouldn't have an issue. Wow that's a very nice high quality fuse holder. That was the main thing I was worried about, depending how dirty the engine bay is, I spray it down annually. I would be doing the big 3 so I'll have 2 fuse holders in the bay that I would have to cover up somehow when I wash it. Yeah I really like them after getting one. My lesson's learned from looking at fuse blocks: -Make sure that you aren't able to short out the fuse block terminals on metal (grounded) surfaces under your hood! -Be careful on the cheap plastic covers. They tend to break easy and fall off....or not fit very well and not stay on. -If you're careful you can wash under your hood just fine. 12V is low enough that you shouldn't have any shorting issues. You can always cover the fuseblock up with something while washing to divert most of the water if you're worried. -Your electrical is just as important as your other audio equipment, invest now in something quality so you don't have to worry about it. The cheaper stuff will most likely give you issues in the future. LT.Smoke
Get an ANL style which is the 1st one... Not that one exactly but one like that because they are much nicer and have larger fuses available than the cylindrical ones Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
dog24fret
This is what I got it's not too bad for a $10 holder. This one is a ANL style and water resistant but I wouldn't trust a heavy soaking but small amounts will be ok. I would go with the higher end ones not cheap it is worth the extra dough imoa. DubNDodge
There are a gajillion different makes/models... here was a review done by a much respected cat on here... shit looks great to me.. http://www.stevemead...w/#entry2189399 Again.. there are a lot out there to choose from... EDIT - Want to say, ive never used any item in the link personaly. But do trust fully the cat that did the review.... Just tossing out the fact that there are a shit ton out there, that are above average.... Thank you!! I was searching the site and couldn't find a any decent fuses. I probably will try these, but will do some more seaching. I was planning on going ANL especially when Knu kolossus 1/0 is rated at 300A. Both the ones above are actually ANL, the second ones left attatchment is turned a bit so it looks like AGU. The second main thing I was worried about was durability. Especially since there is not one good spot to mount it in my car, it will just be laying. I didn't know how well the first one would hold up bouncing around, didn't want it to short if the cover werer to pop off. ChevyBoy95
i use about 5 of style 1. the tops are secure as long as the wire is 1/0 or smaller and the ring terminals arent deformed (hammer crimping aka flat from smashing). i zip tie the plastic cover on for reassurance. Tarball
I use the huge KNUs with the triple mini-anl fuses. They are huge though http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNI-11 and pricey.
