Kyblack76 Posted November 16, 2013 Author Report Posted November 16, 2013 gonna need to make a whole from the interior to the engine compartment I believe. Have fun on that one. Where you mounting that thing. Yep. I may just put the display in my arm rest, or, in the glove box. I mean, shit, im gonna set it, and forget it. I know a few that run upper voltages, that adjust driving around to charge higher type cells. They run 14 or 16v bat banks. While driving around, they charge at 16 or 18. Then, at comps, tune "down" and keep the amp happy. (that make sense?,.. its something i may do) But, this model, unlike the mechman one, is more for setting and forgetting.... Set it at say 14.9, or 15.2 and just let it do its think. So, fuck, i may just have it in the glove box. Meh ..... If xs says 14.9 set it there Think the damage comes from using a battery charger for a long period of time at too high of a voltage Yep. I feel you. BUT, i see meade charges his d3100's at 15.2. And, i know of "a few" that charge higher. I also been told that the "size of the bank" matters. Charging one bat over 15, meh, but, 6, then your ok. What you think? I wanna charge at 15.2?? CleanSierra Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 Question about your charging dilemma: Do you currently have an issue with keeping voltage up as it is? And it's adjustable, the VCM. So you can try different settings and see what you prefer better right? Just a couple things I was thinking. Last I knew, your batts were keeping up just fine. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Your cool. The vcm, is to net my hot charge back. I start around 14.2, which is a low starting charge. Then, after about 2 mins, with nothing running, i drop to 13.6ish, just from heat. I want this to stay, at least to 14.9. I know, when i bang on it, it will drop. The vcm wont "hold" me at that. I just want my constant charge, unloaded, around 14.8. Feel me? This is what the vcm is for. Did you seal off your wall yet? Naw. .. im busy. Busy lookin at other drivers. Im a inch away, from doing something else. And adding more bank. Wasn't Steve cold starting at like 15.6v at one point? thats what i thought. I know i see vids, where his mechman vcm is at 15.2. And he runs xs 12v bats. Sooooooooo.... i wanna know.... but dont wanna blow. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
