Jose luis 12
Use the automotive weatherstrip, it's about 5/8 wide and about 1/4 in laid thickness, works amazing to seal a subwoofer to a box

Amart88
Unless you are mounting it to bedliner or something like that. I don't see why you need a sealant. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

bkolfo4
The gasket that comes with the sub does not always do the best job of sealing. Depends on what it is mounting to. I took the gaskets off my subs in the van and mounted them with rope caulk. 100% sealed them, where the rubber gaskets leaked. The foam weatherstrip works great too. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. bbeljefe
Dont ever use silicone on, or around woofers. The fumes it produces can damage the woofers soft parts. There. Fixtit.
