I never want to buy from a dealership.....at work we get the pleasure of dealing with them several times a week; I can't believe how disorganized and ass-backwards they are. And like you said, they are accepting tens of thousands of dollars for those cars. What ever happened to being honest with the customer? Do they really think they can sell you a different car if your coming out for that specific one? Same thing, called them to make sure it's in stock, asked them to double check, get there and all of the sudden it's gone. You can file BBB complaint and ask for gas reimbursement. She found a Jeep she fell in love with but it was on a 3 day hold since someone else transferred it to the lot so we put in that we REALLY wanted the jeep if the other deal fell through... Sales associate says ok i will put your name down and tell my manager blah blah blah... Well he tells us he wont be there the day the hold is up but gives us another rep to help us out... That day comes we call ahead of time before leaving because its 100miles 1 way... Rep says oh umm someone came and bought it like an hour ago... I went the fuck off I was like so someone bought the car that was guaranteed to us and he was like yep sorry ... I said fuck you and fuck carmax and told him I would never refer anyone there again...
