poorfish88
Yellow top was a bad pick, but at least it's a AGM batt. Hope you have good luck with it there quality has gone way down. The big 3 is a must upgrade, when you start to have voltage drop. i was told by numerous people that the big 3 is a waste if your system is under 1000 watts... my brother has 3000 watts running on 2 regular car batteries and no big 3 and has no voltage drop...i just think the battery was too old in my car. Also he has an old 97 wrangler and i have an 06 sonata. I gave you great advice walk away from it if you want. Return the yellow top for a better AGM and do the Big 3. What 3000 watt amp is your brother running, cause the massive 90 watt stock alt on a Wrangler is going to drop at least to battery voltage. There isnt any of those batteries that work with my car. I looked it up on the XS site and spoke with a rep and they said they dont have any options that they believe will work with my car. Many people on here have told me XS before but there nobody online I can use as a reference for the size needed. Since im stuck with the yellowtop I will be installing the big 3 once I get the battery next week. Ive called a couple auto shops around here and they all said they either use Optimas for customers or Kinetic batteries. (My brother has the amp for subs running to its own battery. His amp lights flicker when bass hits but he is only showing a .5 voltage drop. Dont know if thats alot but we read it with the multimeter last night. His system is actually 2000 watts- mistyped it. ) What group size batt did you buy? The 124r group size isn't made by Optima either as far as I know. Anyways I hope it works out for u cause some yellow tops are tough as hell.

Im apart of a Sonata forum site and a couple of people have experimented and found that this works with our type of sonata. That is what I meant when I said I looked for an online reference as well. Broke_Audio_Addict
So if it's a group 34 an xs d3400 should fit too. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Daniel Francis Sheppard
Put in the yellowtop today... no drop at all really.. read 13.6 and when bass hits it only drops to 13.4. Old battery dropped to 12.
poorfish88
If you were dropping before then you should be dropping to battery voltage at least. 13's is still alt voltages, test the batt with the car off and see what I mean. The batt should be around 12.5-7ish with the car off. Or maybe you had a loose battery conncetion.
Guest
no drop until a cell dies. then your car wont start. edit: old battery was probably old as shit, hence the voltage drop.

Bump4life
if his old battery was bad i could see this being the case? i dont know what kinda power or alternator he runs though. if he is drawing more power than his alt then holding above battery resting is impossible Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
