HHR Ed
My buddy Rich has been upgrading/prepping his GTO and put on Damplifier Pro. Before he gets to the install, he had to remove cheap asphalt deadener. Not a pretty job. Take his pains as a lesson. Skullz
I made the same mistake on my doors and thankfully it was winter and cold out making the removal process less painful. When it sticks to what ever it is on can be so tough to remove, after i got off the major chunks i used paint thinner to clean the rest off. EDIT: Never again will i use a non butyl based material for deadening. Second Skin
It is always better to use less quantity of a quality butyl rubber product then to use more quantity of a cheap asphalt product. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. aculous
yea what is the process for butyl based deadeners? I am guessing the bug and tar is only for asphalt based crap.
