StigA Posted April 5, 2016 Report Share Posted April 5, 2016 Hi! New car = New project. Bought a 1978 Dodge Aspen wagon for a new daily. It is red, everywhere. So first up was a quick paint job. Since it have been a "greaser" car(?) for a while, I just used the paint roller. US Army green, RAL6014 with black details This will not be a very big build yet, but a start. (I have other bigger builds) Plans are: Speakers: 8pcs GAS pm64 6,5" pro mids. (3 in each front door, 1 in each rear) Tweeters are not planned yet.. Subwoofer: 1pcs Digital Designs Redline 615 d2 (not so big or badass, but a start..) Amps: Cerwin-Vega! Stroker 1000.1 for sub and Cerwin-Vega! HED 600.4 for mids.Power: 0gauge wire, Stinger SPP1200 in trunk, and temporary stock alternator and battery in front. Alpine headunit. Started with some doorpanels. May not the best, but it should do the job Tried a "teardrop" design on the rears because I did not use resin here.. but should may have used the same design on the front doors? The plaid in the doors are just painted black Got some speaker wire in and mounted the speakers in the front doors. Wired up 4 of the speakers just to test a little. Plays pretty loud, not very good sound quality tho.. and it needs tweeters and bass! Also figured out where to place the Stinger battery. Added a sticker that may fit this car.. I like hardstyle music, and this mixed with the army look was nice After 2 days with music and nice weather it rained much. Water got in the car and dripped on the amp. Was listening to music on my way to work, and suddenly it came a loud "pop" in the speakers and the amp turned off. Took it inside to dry, hope it survived but I doubt..
