is its strange how the music is being measured at that point.

Music gets measured either by peak hold and this isn't very accurate after your voltage dips and the could get warm, and then there is bass race wilhich is an average over 30 seconds every second.

I think it's more then appropriate and not "strange". As do 1000s of other people who compete in db drag.

Besides do you ride with your doors open? With your head in the kick panel? When it's winter dontou ride with the windows up? You may not put your head in the spot the mete goes in the windshield but it's pretty close to ear level.

In the summer do you run your AC with the windows down and doors open? Didn't think so. Now you need to take some videos of your mid 40s system shutting down peoples ears who listen to 50+ systems daily ....

Yours may sound louder cause it's tuned lower or the simple fact that the front and rear wave lengths are more in phase where your head is versus where the meter is. There's A LOT of variables to take into account when getting high numbers on the meter.

i agree to this guy 100%. just to give an example i think this whole "SPL" Level is bunch of BS on a termlab. just for example. in my sentra i was running 2 old soundstream rubicons 1002's at 1.2ohms bridged 1 on each of a new Soundstream SPLX12-4 QVC 1000RMS a sub in only a 1.75cu a side transmission line enclosure with 1 main battery and a stock "80amp" alternator at the time.. in the trunk slammed up to the decklid firing back only about 4in away and i know for a fact my stuff is LOUD! it litterly takes the air from your lungs although on a termlab it was supposedly only hitting a 143.5 which is total BS in which is dumb because no lie ive measured it i shake houses over 1mile down the road and been told by manyyy people.

a buddy of mine running 4 RE SE 10s in a cavalier fired up in the trunk 1/2 in the trunk 1/2 in the backseat on 2 Rub2500.1d's strapped at 5k with 5 batterys was hittin 149+ and was honestly no where any near as loud as mine. this whole "pressure build up in a cab" is crap. and his you couldnt hear but the next building over.

this is just my opinion ive had a lot people though agree with me once they sat in my car and then cars that did almost a 150+ there's honestly no comparison with mine to theres.

another example 3 weeks ago a kid was showing up his FI BTL 15 on 2k RMS and everyone said how amazing it was and how loud it was and hes doin mid 140s np. but a friend mine came back telling me this wanted to hear my system. so i let him sit in and lets just say by time he got out he couldn't breathe or walk straight lol.

so heres my argument a TERMLAB i believe is not a good way to ever test music and honestly think its crap so im agreeing to the youtube post.

and i know im missing a lot of factors of car, box, size, firing direction and not saying mines the best.. i just dont understand why building up pressure is sound its not its bascilly air.build up on cabin pressure. lol im only 19 and my old man been in car audio for over 20some years. and what i remember looked up and have seen is the "SPL" use to be measured by sound which i belive is the correct way.

but why im on topic 1 more example. in a blazer i listend to 8-15s sure it was loud moved A LOT of air windows up doors shut hitting mid 150s. but still no where near as loud as mine. the different type of sounds its producing does not show up on a termlab compared then it use it years ago.

Do you by chance have vids of this monster install you "claim" that is able to take away the air that people breathe and having them not walk straight ? Prob not because you are full of shit. You can take all of your bullshit "examples" and shove them right up your ass. They only prove how dumb and stupid you really are. Man, I am about as far from a PWK fan a it gets, but I sure do agree with him on this one. I haven't metered in years, didn't care to. But I bought a term lab at the shop a couple years ago because everyone wants to know what they "hit".

I take SPL comps. for what they are, a comp. or sport.

My truck is built the way I want. Sealed up it's flat, modestly loud, quick and articulate. Open it's a low bass monster for low rap, meters well.
