Just curious. It suddenly occurred to me this guy only has X posts, and they looked like they were all right here. I'm shocked too every article I've read inn CNN about has been quick to point out that a white cop shot a black teen. Finnaly a story not trying to do any race baiting it's amazing. I really would like to know what would have happened if it was a black officer that shot the kid would have even been national news? For some reason I doubt it. Well, I can tell you in NOLA, white kids get shot/the crap beat out of them by black officers all the time, several times during the commencement of Mardi Gras. In case you haven't watched the news, whitey isn't exactly rioting and burning down the city. I think at this point that's what pisses me off about this whole situation. I have faith the truth will come out and justice will be done, but this rioting and back and forth between the police is just nonsense. There's no excuse or justification for it, but people keep on talking about race and how this department full of white cops are just out to keep the black community under their thumb. I'd love to interview the few black officers and see what their take on the situation is. If the department really is overrun with racial intolerance, you'd think they'd be the first to know about it. Kinda makes you think huh?

Also I was only defending the facebook pictures, because as I stated later they aren't pics I dont see often. Him stealing from the store is completely different. Even with that you don't know the whole story with the store owner but thats unrelated legally anyways. I really don't feel like arguing anything further, just trying to make a few points before you jump to a conclusion. there is now a "reward" collection being taken up for the officer.. the supporters for the officers are now starting to come up front.. this is going to get really ugly.. wow.. just fucking wow... edit: so i dont get labeled as a racist there are also collections being taking up for the family as well.. but a reward fund for the officer because they believe he did a good job.. fucking wow..

But to your point about him looking like he wouldn't be aggressive, there's several members on this board that if you saw their picture, you would think the same, but they're the same people who have an arsenal in their house. Just food for thought, can't really judge a book by it's cover. I own more guns than almost everyone here. It doesnt make me aggressive in the slightest. I was an asshole long before I bought guns I carry a gun almost everywhere I legally can. If anything it makes me much less likely to enter into confrontation. I dont think that factors in here. I think that by owning guns its made me much less likely to be an asshole in all reality.

Sorry guys just not able to post.. wow so much to say.. Let me start off by saying this.. and I think most of us will agree here on this None of us know what went on.. None of us were there. So its not far for ANY of us to make a judgment based on incomplete facts. That's just wrong. While there are going to be some that will not understand nor are educated enough to see we need to see EVERYTHING before a fair judgment could be made you are going to have others that will support BOTH sides ( cop as well as Michael) without knowing anything but solely based on race. I think we also can all agree on this. That "IF" any of us were to have shot and killed a cop and we would be locked up arrested and it would be up to us in order to prove our innocence. No way in hell would we be able sit and wait under protective custody for the prosecutor to gather information until they felt that they had enough to charge us and THEN ARREST US. Within us all you are going to have good apples and bad apples.. Even one bad apple can make the rest of the good apples look bad. While i am not saying that ALL cops are bad which i agree that are not.. there are PLENTY of cops who abuse their authority and violate the rights of American citizens. This has been proven to happen to those who fall within the law. There needs to be some type of consequences for those cops abusing the rights and they should be held to the same standard that WE the American people are held to! Now we move to whats exposed on social media... and how "some" think that social media shows what a person's true character is. I totally disagree with this statement. You cannot judge a person solely on whats on their social media. While i am in no way picking sides i am mearly speaking for myself here. Most people think i am a certain way based on how i am on this form. BUT anyone who will tell you once i am met in person i am the coolest motherfucker you will ever meet and will do anything to help you. That has been proven. Also some of us that are a bit older know that during the time we were 18 we were no angel. fuck if some of you knew some of the shit that i did while i was young most would wonder how i am even here on this earth today. Lets not judge on social media and what pictures you can see there. As a people we will never get anywhere unless we respect one another. while this seems like it will take years to some or never happen i still have hope and will continue to do what I CAN to make that change. We here at this form have seen time and time again what happens when we band together. what happens when we all have a single focus to help people. we have done things on this forum that has gotten national attention.. and race was not included. So lets wait until BOTH sides come out. lets not let the media skew what we think until we see all the FACTUAL information first. we are all better than that.

What is funny, if you join you will notice how many times they scream about freedom of speech and constitutional rights. You will notice immediately, that 99% of the post's being made are of a one sided narrative, against all law enforcement in general. And as soon as someone post's a middle ground or police sided opinion, they are immediately banned. Typical of those who scream and cry about equality and justice, but when those who dont agree with their narrative, they are chastised and cast out of the conversation.

truth.. i think the disagreement that we both have on if a permit is required or not negates from the big picture! That cops getting away from violating our rights and not being held accountable!

You are wrong in a few aspects of what you have posted. 1) You don't need any type of permit to get together to voice your opinion. That is your constitutional right to do so 2) Your statement that NONE of the protest was peaceful is completely wrong again! There were many protest that went on that were peaceful and without harm. If I am at a protest and following all the laws that are put into place, NO officer can tell me to go home! I can sit there and voice my opinion as long as they want and when someone of the laws tells me that its time for me to go home then i am going to become upset. When the law forces me to move by hitting me with rubber bullets and gas then I am going to fight back and shoot back with things that they will not be able to get up from. Sorry but you were wrong on both of those points. I didn't bother to read your other points

Their will always be groups of people and individuals, who look for any excuse to break the law. We don't know as of yet the full story, yet the police officer in a lot of peoples mine has been convicted, just because he was white and the deceased was black. The black panthers have asked that all the brothers and sisters take up arms, and now have a bounty out for the officer. Now if there where other groups doing this they would be arrested asap. Now those whining about the protest and their right to do so. Yes they have that right, however, none of the protest turned out to be peacefull, nor was a permit ever applied for, to do the protest. Now before you think i am sticking up for the police, i am not. Some of you know the story of my father and the police. However, I at least have the common sense not to judge an entire organization, for a few bad apples. If a person is to have that sort of mind set, you might as well damn, the whole human race. And once again the president has to stick his nose into it, instead of doing the job that he needs to be doing. And are attorney general Eric Holder has to get involved. Yet these two individuals never seem to get involved when this happens to a white, asian, hispanic etc, when these type of things happen almost on a daily basis. And the Al Sharpton's of the world never seem to get involved with the black on black crime happening on a daily basis, because iy doesn't fit into their race bating. You will always have those who complain about the police in a sense being to involved in their neighborhood. They want the police to stay out and leave them alone, then when something happens, they want to know, where the hell were the police. It's just really sad these things seem to boil down to race and discrimination. It does seem as we are going backwards. Things where not this bad 30yrs ago. Like i stated before.. wait until everything comes out. My issue is not what happened to the kid.. he stole so it is what it is there but my even bigger issue was how the local police violated the constitutional right of the "PEACEFUL" ones that were out protesting. Making them leave when it is there constitutional right to protest how ever long they feel. Then when they don't leave they are subject to gas and rubber bullets. I can assure you they would have had to kill me that night. In regards to the video, it's why I made a point of waiting until all the evidence came out as none of us were there. I'm still waiting before I say my peace on that part. I have contacted the local person of the ACLU here to ask them very valid questions. What happens when I am protesting and a office of the law points a sniper rifle or any kind of weapon at me? What happens when I am being told I have to go home at a given time from a person of the law? What happens when I don't bow down to that command and get gassed and hit with rubber bullets? What rights do I have to protect my life when I feel threatened by the law when I am in my constitutional right of doing something?
