  1. it has been sitting on a shelf, 12.58v is fine. Charge it, and it should sit 12.8v or so up to about 13.1v.
  2. i personally like anything karbach, which is a local houston brewery. Have great IPAs, lagers, seasonals, wheats, whatever.
  3. soft parts are near identical, extra power handling is in the motor cooling. In the right box, an m1 can take 2500-3kw each all day, any more than that and you should look to lv5's.
  4. amount of throw doesnt change with soft parts, motor limits that mainly. i dont think you will hear a difference.
  5. even tho its rated at 1400 rms? They are underrated, if you are smart about it, and design a good box, it will take 2kw all day long. But you have to make sure you arent clipping causing a ton of extra heat.
  6. Yea it is worth reconing, or you could sell the motor/basket on a forum like this for probably +/- 150 bucks or so.
  7. everything sundown puts out is more that advertised. 5000D is a beast, and so are the X series subs, but i would personally look for a beefier subwoofer for close to 3000w a piece. but this raises the reason i put that quote in red, that 5k is going to pull a lot of current, do you have a high output alt, few runs of 1/0, and probably 3 or so nice sized AGMs? Im going to redo the electrical system (for the audio atleast, big three etc...) , 1/0 is a must. How high should i go with the alternator 300 amp? and then i was thinking of doing two Xs power batteries and then the battery for the truck. Everyone continues to say to do "a few runs" of 1/0. I still don't quite understand what this means and how it would be done? a few runs means 3 lengths of 1/0 AWG car audio wire, from the front battery to the rear batteries.

  9. Whoa Whoa Whoa guys! Let me lay it all out since I just read a few random articles on the interwebz about waterboarding... or ah... watercooling... same thing right? Well, you need more teraflops in your gigahertz so that you get the max framerate on the solid state drive. DUH!
  10. shirt 2 is cool, but needs some work. Like have the DC logo like it is, but have the chick ghosted in (up the transparency).
  11. I don't see why, there are glow in the dark decals, the DC on the logo is a decal.... So.....
  12. "Very upset with mechman" gives a completely different message than what you posted. I think it is an ecotech problem not a mechman problem.
  13. bad info. when playing music, since it is dynamic, the ohm load is never the same, so you cant bank on saying, "I will have box rise so ill be good" because that only works with burps, which is a constant tone. OP as far as the amplifier is concerned, it can handle .7 all day long as long as you have sufficient electrical for about 1800w.
  14. well this test would be pointless, since you set your gain to what you music's maximum amplitude is. IF you play basslines that reach -5 db, you set it with -5 db. why this test is pointless, is because you arent going to play a -5db bassline and set it with -10 and gain wattage, you might gain some wattage, but it will be extremely clipped. the only way this test would hold ground is to play a -10db tone, set it with 0db, check how much wattage you get, set it with -5 and check how much wattage, and then lastly set it with the proper -10 and see what you get, which at -10 with a -10 tone would be maximum gain or on the dyno max rms power.
  15. it is just a great classy, comedy, that anyone can relate to. all around uplifting and funny movie, literally top 5 favorite movies all time, and i have some high standards.
