  1. for starters you need to be well known in the industry and ready to spend big bucks. youll need a written plan and a majority of the equipment you discuss. you will need a full written portfolio of your plan, pics of your ride and shit youve done in the past. prolly the easiest way to get a break on prices of equipment is working at a busy car audio shop. at my work i can get crazy deals on rockford, memphis, jl audio, and others but it takes money to do it. and a serious commitment to the company.
  2. i thought that he did the 4th order with 4 15s and ran in with the m1s but they didnt like the power. so he swapped for m2s. but i could be wrong
  3. i think cj did this in his f150. i know he had m1 xls then got m2s.
  4. I live only a few minutes from Granite Falls, Washington. It's been deemed the Meth capital of the US from what I've heard. It baffles me how much money is in drugs. But at the same time, I'm not surprised.
  5. i posted this on my facebook to see if anyone i know could figure it out. i couldnt figure that out. then got that "oh im an idiot" feeling lol
  6. idk if you did or not, but check EVERY fuse. sometimes those things can be tied into others and just reading what the fuse is for wont tell you anything. one example is that on 2002-2005 tundras the tail light fuse is tied into the fuse for the alternator regulator... found that out when i pinched the reverse trigger wire for a backup cam and the alt wouldnt charge after but the book just described it as being the tail lights, nothing about the alternator regulator
  7. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/135220-rockford-t4000/ heres a rockford t4k on here for sale
  8. yellow top is fine. you should re-route your power wire as well. if for any reason you got in an accident and that corner got hit there could be some sparks. i know its difficult in the buick century's but find a place on the firewall to go through, even if it means drilling a hole. just be sure its clear for 4-5 inches on BOTH sides of the firewall
  9. I just went shooting with my brother in-law yesterday, and he just got a 1911. Definitely a badass pistol. I'm not a gun kinda guy, but shooting that makes me want one lol.
  10. im glad this hasnt started yet lol. i still need to figure out if i can fit an xp2500-3000 between my box and hatch.... gotta finish painting the box first is the set back
  11. id go with at least a 4" port. i use a 4" port on a single ten and still get some noise on low lows
  12. alright rusty, be honest, at 0:20 was the bass getting to you or was the sun in your eyes
  13. haha you saw this on cl too??? i was just looking thru there last night and saw these. dudes crazy lol
  14. i found an m1 level 4 15 on cl for 250 with a box. when i met the guy to check it out he had been beating the hell out of it. coil was almost black and it got pretty stinky when he gave me a demo. i offered him 150 for just the woofer. needless to say he called me a few days later cuz he smoked it. got it for $100
  15. sounds like its a badass trunk build, especially with no pass thru. could you do something similar with a 40/60 split seat and set it up so that when the 40 side is downt the ports right there? i like that idea better then folding the whole seat down all the time
  16. dust cap doesnt just protect the coil and coil gap but also keeps pressure inside the coil gap. theres a huge reason for having a dustcap, there isnt a component on a subwoofer that is "pointless" EXCEPT stickers. i dont see stickers helping much of anything
  17. i think shooting it proved more of a point, cuz he showed that his time/money invested into it didnt out weigh what she did. giving it away could make it seem to her that he didnt want to destroy it. shooting it shows her that hes not fuckin around.
  18. Best 30 seconds of my life.... wait, oops. i thought you meant something else....
  19. Once I figure that out, it will be a secret. Second try. Used much less resin for the first 2 laminating coats. Hopefully just enough to get the two layers to laminate together and dry with no puddles. Once this coat dries, I will trim it down and put the final laminate coat of resin on. This coat i will have to be very careful so not get it too thick and get another puddle. why not just let it cure laying like this the first time? im a noob at using resin/fiberglass so just curious here
  20. It's not easy and can get expensive. My old boss flipped cars all the time. Sometimes he won big but usually he broke even and occasionally lost money. He had serious connections with body shops and mechanics too so that really helped him. He'd buy a car dirt cheap that needed work and profit big. But another time he sold a car and the tranny went out while the guy was driving it home, so he ended up paying for the tranny and lost big money. It's very risky and unless you've got connections not worth it imo. People don't wanna buy a car that Joe schmoe worked on. They wanna buy a car a shop worked on. Another thing he always told me was to flip lots of cheap cars. Like $3-4k and under because the people buying those cars don't care so much about the paper work, so they'd both save a bunch and write that the car was sold cheap and save on the taxes/licensing. Which brings up another point, you're gonna want to know all the paperwork involved in buying/selling cars private party. As well as the loop holes. Hopefully this gives you some insight. I paid some attention to what he did cuz it seemed profitable, buy very very risky. Good luck to you if you attempt this. He prolly bought/sold 4-5 cars a month.
  21. Funny this should come up, my dad and I were talking about animals in the ocean the other day. Can you guys imagine what sort of creatures live down there??? The ocean is so huge and we can't explore all of it. There has to just be some wicked creatures down there.....
