I'm a little late to this but my mom had a pretty severe stroke after having a severe heart attack. She is as recovered as she'll be, which means she does require oxygen (due to her smoking for 40+ yrs) and she has trouble speaking at times. But fully able to move, walk, do things. Early forced retirement on her. When I first saw her, it was too much for me to handle. She couldn't talk period. All she could do is nod her head yes or no. Imagine, a 56 year old lady that can't t...

  3. Dream system: 8 18s on 8 crescendo 3500s in a vertical clamshell tuned in the mid 20s. Just because I LOVE that 'hurricane' feel that starts to come in the mid-high 20s. Like, it is seriously like crack to me... No idea why lol

Or do 8 12's, find 6 more of your 12's, and 7 more of your amps, and you can do it!

Bring that car down to Fife Chris, we'll see how many 18s we can stuff in it. Oh, and bring your termlab!

  4. Here's how this works around here... I run .5 daily but will tell everyone else not to do it. Why? Because I, and everyone else who runs that knows there is a risk of blowing something and if it happens, we don't get pissed because we took a gamble and lost. But when someone else asks, we all say NO because there is a chance it can fail on you. We don't want to tell you to do something that can and will screw up you equipment. Here's my advice Do you want a reliable daily system? Yes - Wire to 1 and your amp will thank you No - Wire to .5, then enjoy the possibility of blowing the amp as well as a shit ton of draw on your electrical for not much gain Just remember... It wasn't all too long ago that wiring to 1 ohm was a new and scary thing

I had a pair but I sat on them. I got some prada sunglasses then I sat on them too. Now I have some cheap gas station sunglasses, haven't sat on them.

  7. I'd say -10. But note that this does not override common sense. If you are playing a loud song, turn the bass down a bit to compensate.
  8. -5 to be safe. Or -10 if you have some common sense. Knowing the sub/amp/box combo you are using as well as your electrical setup would be helpful in determining this

  10. Peel it off and feel if it's still sticky. if it is, I'd think you should be good to go. Aluminum won't corrode heavily unless exposed to salt water and butyl is unaffected.
  11. Friends are out doing 'stuff.' And here I am chilling on SMD. It can be hard to resist doing what everyone else does sometimes lol

Coke is no more man-made than booze. You're thinking of meth.

    3. TylerParrish

      TylerParrish

No? I'm thinking coke? Booze comes from fermented yeast, coke comes from chemicals made and put together in a certain way that makes u fell that way. I am notttt about that life

    4. TylerParrish

      TylerParrish

coca leaves yes, then gallons of gasoline and other shit is added to it until it hardens and is then cut up from chunks into a fine powder if my memory suits me

  12. Hmm interesting. That's only half of it, but good info to have nonetheless! Forgot to mention: It is the 1005 charger
  13. I have a battery that will keep accepting charge for quite a bit of time and the charger 'thinks' it's done charging, but it still has some time to go. Or it will occasionally go into float mode when I am doing some car-off listening. It would be nice to not have to turn the charger off then back on again to get around this. I'm assuming it is one of the potentiometers on the inside. If you can tell me which one it is, I can adjust it myself from there. No need to send it in or anything
  14. It would be cool to have a removable clip for the positive probe too - so it could be clipped on the output on the amp without having to fiddle with the screw. It's a minor thing, but would be a cool feature on an already great product IMHO.

  19. Really hate 'hack' installers. Just cleaned up my friends install. For some reason, he decided to take it to someone else even after I offered. He ended up coming back to me lol. The battery terminal(for the whole car) wasn't even screwed down. The wired were ran above the carpet, stuff wasn't secured, and I could pull the terminals off. Easily.

Hate when that sh*t happens, you just gotta let "friends" get fucked over before they realize you were right.

      TylerParrish

I wish friends would just pay me even a percent of the money they would pay an installer...that way everyone's happy.

    4. WastedTalent

      WastedTalent

That's true. I'd be one of those friends. "You hook my stuff up, I'll pay you half of what they wanted". Always call them for quotes though, that way you'd get half. Lmfao.
