  1. Okay, not really what I wanted to hear, but in a way it is. Thanks for takin' the time to look at them for me. So, where do you think the seam will have to be, around the bottom curves? Also, I forgot to mention this, not sure if it makes any difference, but the outside edge will get covered by the factory panel, like this: So, what do you think? Still probably gonna need to be stitched? Also, anyone have any ideas on patterns or designs? Again, thanks for your time!!
  2. I'm still up in the air about wrapping them myself, or taking them somewhere. Does anyone know of anyone in/around the Columbus/Cincinnati area that is good? Man, I wish I could afford to just send them to you. Especially after seeing your work... But anyway, here is the pics you asked for over 6 weeks ago Passenger side I had just sprayed them right before taking these pics, they are actually getting pretty smooth now. Thanks for your time fellas!
  3. Wow... This is off the hook, seriously! Install of the year, maybe? I didn't even think you could get it all in there, to be honest. But wow, you sure did. And looking so clean, too. You should really be proud sir, this is one spectacular build!
  4. Chains can break too... it all depends on the mileage. Some V8's have belts btw. Glad you got it fixed OP
  5. Good point sir! Plus upgrades cost money, and I don't have a lot of that. I think I mostly just like the looks of these dust caps, and high roll surround better.
  6. Meaning the sale will be over, or the xp series will no longer be available? Sorry for the confusion.
  7. Man, wish I had waited! My VVX's are still setting in the boxes they came in... Haven't even got to try them yet and I'm already wanting an upgrade 4 of these 15's would be beastly in my Cruiser....
  8. Thanks man, that's exactly what I needed to know. They will be finished for paint, and the look of Steve's doors are exactly what I'm going for. Thanks Ray Yeah, that is pretty high at $28 a yard. Don't think I'm looking to spend that much, I have all 4 doors to wrap. +1 thats true too, I prefer the foam backing on doors sometimes because it makes them look softer and comfier, but a thin foam backing like 1/8 thick Cool, thanks man! Yeah I found a place local that I'm gonna go check out tomorrow.
  9. They look great, and I'm sure they sound great too! Will they come in different sizes, or just the 6.5's?
  10. Hey guys, I am finally getting close to finishing up my door panels, and I want to order some black vinyl to attempt to wrap them with myself. But which vinyl do I need? There are several different choices, and I am not familiar with any of them. Do I need the fleece backed kind, like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PALMA-AUTOMOTIVE-CONTRACT-VINYLS-19-DIFFERENT-COLORS-/120737308085?pt=US_Fabric&var=&hash=item1c1c811db5 Or this? http://www.yourautotrim.com/noname10.html Or this cheaper one? http://www.yourautotrim.com/prmab.html Or is there something better out there? Thanks for your time, and help!
  11. Congrats! We will have kids the same age, cool! Best of luck to you and yours!

  13. Okay, here is what I would do. First, I would hold off on the dual alt setup. Plan to attempt that later, after all the other build stuff is done. Then, I'd get a good quality HO alt, either a Mechman or a Singer, or whatever you decide, and do your wiring properly, and you should be good to go for the time being. Then, I'd get back to work on all the other stuff you got to do Here is my thinking: If you have one good alt, and three good batteries, and the proper wiring, than that should be fine for what your using. Then later, when you have time, you can further explore the possibility of adding the second alt. Then you would have 2 high quality alts. I'd probably steer clear from the OEM upgrades, you would probably be disappointed. Although I'm sure it's tempting at those prices, I'd still probably just call Mike! Hope that helped in some way... Oh and Snafu, I'll be contacting you soon to make me a relay/ fuse box.
  14. Headed out for more sanding fun in the sun... Gotta love it!

  16. Hey Will, nice vids! One question, who is your friend with the walled PT Cruiser? Does he have a build log on here? I'd like to see his ride.....
  17. Man, I wanted this amp BAD, for my doors. But money is just too tight right now But if you still have it in a week or so, I may still hit you up! GLWS! Guys in case you don't know, this is a nice 4ch amp. I'd compare it to a DC175.4 power wise, this is a good buy for someone!
  18. Lol! Nice share purple! This one had me lol for real!
  19. Just wanted to apoligize for runing my mouth here lately, on Steves build log, in SOTM, and a few other threads. This aint me, Idk what my problem is, but I do apoligize to anyone I offended or pissed off.

  20. So what is the plan then? 4 - 15's in a 4th? Also, I was gonna ask you, which did you like better: the 4th order or the clamshell? Which was louder, which sounded better?
  21. Kranny nailed that one! What he said...
  22. Damn I just tossed out a 12" CVX motor and basket cause I thought they were useless... Tuned in for results...
